Russia and Ukraine appear to be in the final stages of preparation to fight the Battle of Donbas, in what is shaping up to be the biggest tank battle in Europe since the decisive Battle of Kursk in World War II. The stakes for both Moscow and Kyiv couldn’t be higher. The course of the entire war could hinge on the outcome in the Donbas.

This guy is on Fox News a lot and he is very reasonable. He seems to understand that America can't and will not send troops to Ukraine but can help. His analysis here is pretty amazing and speaks from expiernce.

Without air support there is no way to win a large tank battle today.

I enjoyed the article … it seems very pragmatic and offers reasonably possible outcomes and not a bunch of Hail Mary rah rah or unwarranted doom.

Hopefully, the world of people who love their children will see that conflicts such as this are losers, even if you ‘win’.

Ironically, the powers that show that they can be the most warlike are in the best position to secure peace. Please keep our leadership wise and our capabilities stronger than anyone want to tangle with.

Gen Zhukov in the battle of Kursk was the biggest tank battle ever, and will be, but this could be interesting...

If only Ukraine had just one squadron of A-10s.....

You need to show that picture whenever anybody protests “Azov can’t be nazis or else bozo the Zel wouldn’t be helping them. He’s Jewish!”

Got some references for that?

What Pentagon official, for starters.

I believe the Germans put 5,000 tanks into that battle while the Russians had 7,000. The Russians has 12,000 more on the way.

Indeed. I never realized the Pentagon had a genealogy department.

“1. America’s overriding priorities are first, to ensure the war doesn’t expand beyond the Ukrainian borders and escalate into a U.S. or NATO on Russia conflict”

Maybe.

“2. and second to assist in finding ways to end the war as soon as possible.”

Nice try.

“Without air support there is no way to win a large tank battle today.”

Agreed. I expect Ukraine will continue to run the defeat in detail strategy that won the Battle of Kiev.

1) Divide the Russian forces into sections
2) Constrain the flows supplies to the enemy
3) Gain numeric superiority against a section of the enemy and push until it breaks.

A-10’s Russian equivalent is the SU-25, which both sides operate.

Trouble is most of the best ground forces on both sides in that area are pretty well exhausted.

Two self-hating Jews.

The best outcome would be a protracted stalemate. Everyone, including Ukraine/Russia, the globalist, the EU, the Biden regime loses big time.

Before Putin goes to hell, I hope he drops a predator drone on the New York Times and Washington Compost. It would be glorious.

So true. Air assets can unleash hell on tanks.

What’s more, the Russians knew they Germans were coming, and where. Some German had the battle plan on him when his plane crashed, and the Russians got to the crash site first.

It won’t be a tank vs tank battle, it will be artillery (tube and rocket) vs artillery.

Armored vehicles will just go into the beaten zone for mopping up and consolidating gains.

“Saker” is clearly slanted, but a lot of information is here:

As long as armed drones are flying, tanks are death traps. The age of tanks is done. The infantryman armed with ATGMs has become the new longbow-man of the ages. The ukes have adapted using drones for artillery strikes with great precision. Don’t forget, Russia doesn’t have access to GPS satellites. They must do everything with map and compass.
