Got to stop the patriotic BS on Ukraine. A terrible war yes but nothing to do with American patriotism. Nothing whatsoever. That crap is a made up distraction by the Marxist left to hide their corrupted actions.

I agree with the view that Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine inspire hope for this country, the US, that we can meet the challenges we face here. Patriots of one country salute patriots of all countries. But Zelenskyy is not and cannot be the savior of the world. That person is Jesus and the saints.
The damn shame of this war is that there was a time when Putin was a savior of his country. Russia was adrift and unable to deal with a terrorist movement from one of its federal subjects. But, Putin changed (or maybe revealed his true self). He didn’t fail in the sense that he didn’t save his country, because saving a country is beyond what any one man can do. He failed in the sense of not developing successors who could continue and expand upon his work. Now, Putin is completely corrupt and Russia is only an shell.

Russia is also corrupt in many ways and I’m not rooting for them to win by any means. I just want this whole thing to be over quickly with as little loss of life as possible. Then both sides should sit down and hammer out an acceptable plan for Ukraine going forward. However, with the level of fervor amongst Ukrainians that you profess to admire so much, I fear they’ll never be able to settle this before hundreds of thousands more ppl have to die.
This is freaking nauseating. The world will be saved by no mere man, only by God.
