Euphoria! CoreLogic February Home Price Index UP 20% While Real Hourly Wages Decline (Wine Prices UP 25.1%, Foodstuffs UP 57.2% Under Brainless Joe

Euphoria!

CoreLogic’s Home Price Insights revealed that home prices rose 20% YoY in February despite REAL average hourly earnings declining -2.678% YoY. THAT is euphoria! Or Stimulypto, as I like to call it.

No, The Federal Reserve still hasn’t removed its staggering monetary stimulus. Notice that M2 Money Stock is still growing at a torrid 11% pace.

20% YoY home price growth in February? CoreLogic has increased their forecast of home price growth to 5%, likely because The Federal Reserve is imitating a sloth in removing its monetary Stimulypto.

Of course, there are other assets growing at lightning speeds. US Regular gasoline prices are UP 75.4% under Biden. Foodstuffs are UP 57.2% since Biden was installed as President. At least ground beef is only up 16.8% while the fine wine index is up 25.1%.

Speaking of wine, Hitching Post II in Buellton, CA must be suffering from rising food and grape costs too (I highly recommend eating there and using their HP Magic Stuff at home). Not to mention their spectacular wines. Roast artichokes anyone??

WOO HOO! Happy daze are here again! WTAH? Hourly wages don’t mean much to us FINKs/(Fixed Income No Kids) retirees*. Perhaps some of the 10 million job vacancies will get filled by older folks trying to afford food, meds, fuel, housing etc. Strange that about 18 or so months ago we didn’t see a problem with providing our own energy. What could possibly have changed?

*Guess we should have planned better for this massive inflation huh?

Once the shortages kick-in, there will be panic buying. This will clear the shelves and I expect it could last a few months if not more. It’s not a bad idea to stock-up now, it’s cheap insurance. Things getting real.

While I don’t think they were helping, the COVID dumping money from a helicopter that would make Ben Biernacki blush began before Biden.

And bring in more takers of government largesse. My guess is if we bring in more illegals, refugees, and other basket cases we can zoom inflation up more than the current circa 7% to above 15% driven by more free money. All the while the average wages of those who work drop farther.

That's good advice I think. A bit of insurance never hurt anyone.

My neighbor, who was a prepper, threw out all his food stuff. I'm trying to figure out what to tell him when he comes asking for mine.

Well the positive is wine being up 25% may finally get the suburban wine Moms to not vote Democrat...

Foodstuffs are UP 57.2% since Biden was installed . . .
This comports exactly with what I've seen at the grocery store over the past year. Those politically manipulated 7% figures reported in the kept media are a complete fiction.

Don’t let a dumb assed neighbor bring shortage and deprivation to you too.

Agreed!

Food is up at least 50% across the board. I don’t care WHAT the government says it is.

And it will damn them in November. And beyond.

Well...he has everything else. Much that I don't have. He was just pissed that he went to all that effort, the world didn't end, 8-12 years ago as predicted and all that food went bad...he over did it too.
He has tractors, backhoes, bull dozers and greenhouses (a landscaping business)....stuff like that I don't have.
(I think I'll get some food for him too, ahem)
