Leaving Fox News to join CNN+ was a brilliant move for former host Chris Wallace. Now, after attacking Tucker Carlson, Wallace just might lose his job.
The new streaming service looks like a total failure according to Fox Business News’ Charles Gasparino.
“Breaking: @CNNplus employees bracing for layoffs possibly as soon as May amid projections of lackluster sales of new streaming channel; CNN employees say new streaming channel could be merged into larger @discoveryplus as early as May unless subscriptions pick up,” Gasparino posted in a tweet.

In response, CNN’s Matt Dornic tweeted that the network is doing well.
“For the record, we are VERY happy with the launch of CNN+ and are only bracing for a long run of success,” Dornic said.
Upon receiving the message, Gasparino mocked him for the fact that CNN didn’t respond to his request for comment but their representative did through Twitter.
“The ‘well oiled’ @CNN PR Flack department won’t respond to my calls for comment but tweets out their response. Nice,” Gasparino retorted.

The Daily Mail had this about CNN+:
CNN+, a $5.99-per-month streaming service, represents the media outlets step into the world of streaming, similar to how Fox launched its own Fox Nation streaming service in 2018.
CNN says that its new streaming service will feature live daily news programming, original series, true crime shows and food and travel docuseries.
The service made waves as it brought on big names to help it in the competitive world of streaming, grabbing Fox News’ Chris Wallace and MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt to host new shows on their platform.
Hunt told The Washington Post that the move to streaming was an obvious step in the right direction.
‘My parents don’t even pay for cable,’ Hunt said. ‘I just think that this way of watching television is the future, and that’s why it felt like kind of a no-brainer to do this.’
Tucker Carlson reportedly played a greater role in the departure of Chris Wallace from Fox News than previously thought.
During an interview with The New York Times this week, the former “Fox News Sunday” host took a number of shots at his former employer.
Wallace will no longer be covering politics but rather interviews cultural figures on CNN+, the new CNN streaming service.
“I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion,” he said of leaving Fox News. “But when people start to question the truth — Who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection? — I found that unsustainable.”
According to him, he spent “a lot of 2021 looking to see if there was a different place for me to do my job.”
Wallace said he was “so alarmed by Mr. Carlson’s documentary ‘Patriot Purge’ — which falsely suggested the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was a ‘false flag’ operation intended to demonize conservatives — that he complained directly to Fox News management.”
“Before, I found it was an environment in which I could do my job and feel good about my involvement at Fox,” he continued before whining, “And since November of 2020, that just became unsustainable, increasingly unsustainable as time went on.”
He acknowledged, however, that some people might question why he didn’t leave earlier if his motives were to follow his principles.
“Some people might have drawn the line earlier, or at a different point,” he explained. “I think Fox has changed over the course of the last year and a half. But I can certainly understand where somebody would say, ‘Gee, you were a slow learner, Chris.’”
It’s just a fluke that he stayed at Fox News whilst they paid him a lot of money, then moved on to another company that offered more money.
“I wanted to get out of politics,” he declared. “Doing a Sunday show on the incremental change from week to week in the Build Back Better plan began to lose its attraction.”
Judy Collins, the singer who recorded Stephen Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns” for her 1975 album “Judith,” will be one of his first guests. That’s far and away from interviewing presidents on Fox.
Kari Donovan reported on Wallace’s scrum with Tucker for Republic Brief:
Wallace has confirmed reports that he had complained to executives about Carlson’s Patriot Purge documentary, seeming to say that Carlson’s consistent ratings bonanza was embarrassing for Wallace and a factor in him leaving for CNN.
Wallace was on Fox to give the appearance of being ‘objective’, however audiences fled the network in large part due to Wallace’s sloppy journalism and determined representation of the left’s point of view.
‘Chris Wallace’s Fox News Sunday was fourth in a four-horse race and never got out of 4th place throughout his entire 18 years of hosting the show. He was the only anchor at Fox not to helm a number one show,’ one insider is reported to have told a media source.
‘This story really isn’t surprising. What’s shocking is it took Chris 18 years to leave but I suppose when you’re earning millions upon millions of dollars every year, you’re happy to stay and amass great wealth and a personal fortune that his viewers could only ever dream of.’
Wallace is suspected to have gotten around 7 Million dollars a year from Fox News.
The IQ increases at both networks.
Chris Wallace should apply for Psaki’s job.
Translation……..CNN realized Wallace isn’t the draw they thought he was.
Christy will also be making coffee.
“ Chris Wallace should apply for Psaki’s job.”
At the very least, it would be a hoot to watch him repeatedly contract covid
Let’s see. What has more worth?
CNN+, or a gallon of gas...
CNN wasting millions, Chris Wallace getting his comeuppance, and a excuse to post a classic .gif, while enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
Today is a good day.

I can’t believe Fox had this bed wetter on for 18 years, let alone pay him tens of millions of dollars to spew his liberal drivel. Maybe one of the Murdoch boys’ wives ran interference for Chrissie.
Is that a wig on Judy Collins?
Not now he isn’t.
CNN+ is the bottom of the pits.
Similarly, I have been told by an insider that CNN is moving towards the center to pull viewers away from FOX. I think FOX’s drift to the center may be an overreaction to CNN’s strategy. CNN has a big hurdle to take viewers from FOX. Their play in the cesspool of the Left has dragged their ratings down into the mire and they have a big challenge to drag themselves out. Their hire of Chris Wallace looks like their efforts are riveted by their bad habits.
“Send in the Clowns” is a perfect debut for CNN+.
That is a shame.... ala Sienfeld...
CNNpus...
Very cutting-edge.
Disingenuous. Wallace is not losing his job because of Tucker Carlson. The platform is collapsing on its own. Correlation is not causation. But it can sure generate a clickbait headline.
Maybe FNC paid CNNPlus to hire that Communist stooge just to get rid of an embarrassment to FNC.
Plenty more where he came from.
Good Lord. That looks like one of those ‘lucky’ troll dolls.
Are they telling us that Chris Wallace does not have a “No Cut “ clause in his contract?
Lawdy, what kind of an agent does he have?
