There are a lot of videos coming out of Ukraine, leading to a lot of opinions.
Not to be a wet blanket, but I caution that these are merely small data points, and normally will only permit conclusions supported by that one snippet, not larger trends.
[Edit. Dear God, people, this is a video about critical thinking. It's not about who I think is going to win or who I hope is going to win (Ukraine, for the record).
Listen carefully to my words: saying "Not everything unpleasant is a war crime" is NOT the same as "Russia is committing no war crimes".]

Objective thought is generally discouraged and ridiculed on FR.
Insult Trolling is not.
We are only allowed to draw conclusions on videos that support your narrative.
I’ve been watching some accounts on Telegram, both Russian and Ukrainian. While I know both sides are lying and pushing propaganda, when you get more information, a better picture emerges.
Yes, I know, I am breaking the rules. Some of us are still foolish and naive enough to filter through all the misinformation to reach a conclusion on than despondent nihilism.
Insult Trolling is not.
True since... what day the public internet come online?
Go ahead and draw your own conclusions. I have no authority or control over what you want to think.
This is a discussion forum. I post what I think would be informative and interesting to discuss.
#8. Your welcome.
There’s no “good guy” in this conflict. Therefore we should only act on the basis of America First.
Good thoughts. While I tend to suppose the Ukes, what we are being fed by the msm is propaganda. Must like in WW2 when censors edited out the worse allied news and maxiumised Germans losses.
Take everything with a grain of salt.
All the info coming through on the US side is delayed, selective and processed to meet the narrative. We don’t see successful Russian attacks or Ukrainian casualties and prisoners. We don’t see things that appear to be, and likely are Ukrainian war crimes. The Russians are broadcasting those, but there is no context of their losses. Russians also show enthusiastic troops, and grateful civilians. Considering the ethic Russians in Dombas, it makes sense that there would be some of those, but you would never see that on western media.
Most of the stuff on the Russian side right now is coming from Mariupol, which by all accounts the Russians are taking. No info from other places suggests lack of movement or lack of success in other areas.
A lot of the dramatic fighting shown by the Russians seems to be Chechen units, versus the Nazi AZOV units. I don’t know if that is typical of the contests, but it’s a chance to root against both sides.
There was Russian footage on what they described as an attack on a Ukrainian military position in a apartment building, and the cautious Russian attack on the position. Parts of that exact footage was used by the Ukes to “prove” Russian were casually attacking civilian locations. Two completely different stories of the same footage.
It is useful to have more perspectives and information.
Riafan.ru has very informative maps. From Russian MOD, but as Paul Harvey once said “ the rest of the story”. As the western MSM shows no maps what so ever, I watch Riafan daily, since day one. There map has lined up with reported events since Feb 25. For those illiterate in Russian, you can hit the translate button.
I have been watching “Speak the Truth” on YouTube for the last several weeks. He gives the day by day action on his map, which is a good way to follow what is happening. The regular news just gives another video of a burnt out tank or another blown out building, but there is no context. Following the map it’s clear as a bell.
I do not know how to post graphics, maybe someone can.
I say we pay some Russian hookers to have a pee party on Biden’s bed...
There are no Good Guys in this conflict.
Repeat ad nauseam.
“You don’t know what you don’t know.”
It is also likely that Russia got up to date models of Stingers and Javelins from the Taliban to play around with and develop countermeasures against. Russia has the Arena system, and electronic countermeasures for Stingers and other MANPADS on their choppers, similar to US systems. And the supplies we are giving aren’t the top of the line.
We have been hearing less and less in the MSM about the actual progress of the war. That, in itself, tells you something.
Also keep in mind that the news we are hearing is to placate the stock market. Ukraine IS doing better than I thought, but the Russians are absolutely destroying them. Given the force composition of the Russians they were never going to blitzkrieg the entire Ukraine. They could do it but would need 50+% of their armed forces to do the Zerg rush. It would also likely drag in Poland and other Eastern European armies, who would act on their own outside NATO, and would cause a messy arms race.
