If McConnell exposes enough RINO Senators (Romney, Collins, Murkowski etc.) infuriating the Republican base using this strategy how does that help him? He must have the RINOs with him in opposition already.
Thank you TexasGurl24, as I read the rules, they said that letting the nominee out of committee brought the rules of cloture into play if there was a tie. So in order to get her in, if the Republicans hold firm. Schumer will have to set aside the rules of the Senate and with the vote of the vice president override the rules of the senate just to free her nomination from committee. I might be reading it wrong though, how do you read it?
What did McConnell give away in return?
