The Virginia man who was apprehended and charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 2021 fatal stabbing of Michael Fadely in his Leesburg home believed he was stabbing Satan, in an attempt to save the world, his attorney said.
“I believed I was stabbing Satan to save the world.”
I’ll remember that if I feel the need for revenge strongly enough to risk lifetime commitment. It’s wacky enough to be believed by legal psychiatry in these degenerate times.
Of course, the old tried and true “stabbing the devil to save the world” defense.

In any truly civilized country the “Virginia man” would have been executed before Christmas 2021. And the motive re what he “believed” would have been declared completely irrelevant.
