I had a flash of insight — an epiphany — today. I think I know a big part of the reason. Maybe the whole reason.
Here it is: Rush Limbaugh is gone. His voice is gone.
His reasoning, his ability to explain and contrast, his terrific parodies, his audio montages showing the Left parroting the talking points from wherever their central brain trust operates, his "illustrating absurdity by being absurd..."
... and most of all, his tremendously large audience, many of whom didn't always agree with him but found him entertaining just the same.
That's gone. I think Rush was far and away the biggest single counterweight to the madness of the Left. No one has shown up yet that can fill his shoes, not even close.
The best of the conservative media personalities don't have his ability to entertain. Greg Gutfeld tries, but — let's face it — he's not even in the same ballpark. And video is the wrong medium for it. Rush talked about this many times. Radio is the perfect place for the conservative position to be articulated.
The cat is away, and the mice are certainly playing.

And ironically, while she can’t define what a woman is, she was appointed specifically because, wait for it, she is a woman.
I think Tucker Carlson is doing a good job in picking up where Rush left off.

Sadly, I think you’ve nailed it. No one can replace Rush. He was one of a kind.
I miss Rush. He always felt like a wiser older brother to me. I mourned greatly when he passed.
Then a few months later, my real older brother, not necessarily wise, but definitely the kindest man I’ve ever known, passed as well. Two huge losses in the same year. Awful.
That woman is conformist plantation garbage.
It’s illustrative of just how far off the rails the demoncrat party has become. 30 years ago this would not have been remotely tolerated.
