Last Friday night in Idaho a swarm of police vehicles surrounded a group of people including the breastfeeding mother of a six-month old baby.
The baby and mother were put into an ambulance in which Officer Steve Hanson of the Garden City, Idaho Police took the child from the mother....
Breaking Update: The judge ordering the child into protective custody of the child protective services late this afternoon....

In the ambulance video, the mother shows a few seconds of the baby. He looks healthy and happy before the police take him from the mother.
I’d like to know how much underweight he supposedly is. He looks fine.

(Dr. Chavoya) said the baby was having trouble digesting proteins and losing weight. He was hospitalized on March 1 after his parents brought him to the emergency room. The baby was “suffering from severe malnourishment,” according to a release from the Meridian Police Department.
Unfortunately for the kid, severe malnourishment as an infant will quite likely have lifelong consequences. At this point it's turned into a political event, with the Lt Gov teaming up with Bundy vs the current Gov. I doubt anyone here knows the actual MEDICAL implications for the baby, or if the parents were actually neglecting the child.
CPS is a double edged sword. They do plenty of good when children are abused, but there are many cases when they insert themselves into places they don't belong.

I was almost 3 months premature, weighed 2 lbs 11 oz, was given a 10% chance of survival.
Spent 3 months in hospital, half the time in an isolette, the other half the time in an incubator.
My folks got to take me home from the hospital when I was 5 lbs and about 3 months old.
No CPS back then, thank the good Lord.
But report that a drug addict is pimping out her prepubescent children again and it takes over three months for anyone to investigate.
Probably because one would involve actual work.
If dealing with the CPS does not leave you cynical your soul has already died.
Mother seems pretty reasonable in the video, and I've seen severely malnourished kids before. That's not what they looked like. I'm no expert, but the kid looks fairly normal for being severely malnourished.
I met LG Janice McGeachin a couple years ago at the Lincoln Day Dinner in Coeur d’Alene. I came away very impressed.

Baby was severely malnourished to the point of hospitalization. It gained weight normally and then was released. Back with the mom it immediately began losing significant amounts of weight. 10 month olds losing significant weight is neglect when they gain normally with someone else.
Then that clown Amon Bundy got involved.
Bundy is a typical mormon clown who opposed the wall, likes open borders, and opposed Trump. Romney in a cowboy hat.
Other articles say malnutrition and underweight. No info on weight and why considered malnourished. Pictures of kid look fine. One article said kid had been vomiting because sick and put in hospital. After week came out fine. DR suggested adding goat milk powder to feeding schedule to add more calories. That caused vomiting. Parents think and maybe the doctors too feel he may have problem digesting proteins. The day of misses appointment the mother called in saying she wasn’t feeling well and needed to reschedule appointment. Dr reported it to Child Protective Services.
CpS immediately went after them with the police. I don’t know what really happened I do suspect that there was a significant affect on the situation due to tge parents connections to Amon Bundy

I posted earlier regarding Mitt Romney who is the direct opposite of Ammon Bundy in regards to personal freedom and the sovereignty of the states.
Mr. Romney over on the One World side.
Bundy a lot more like Rand Paul a libertarian.

You and the state are in agreement. I think the family has its view of the situation which isn’t the same as yours.
Bundy is open borders, and opposed MAGA. He is exploiting this for publicity.

I was a whole 4lb. 4oz. when I was born, almost two months early. Sometimes kids are just small, or have a hard time putting on weight for other reasons. My brother was seriously picky, and he was always underweight, all the way through middle school.
