Don’t know much about Mr Z but Reagan was an actor.

Actors can do good things and then there’s the Alec Baldwins.

Speaking of upsetting the balance of power, how would you like it if Russia were to enter into a military alliance with Canada? Would you perhaps feel a teeny bit aggrieved that Russian troops might be garrisoned on the other side of Niagara falls?

Identify any US vital interest in Ukeland.
Not protecting democracy or NATO, but a direct interest akin to closing our southern border and getting serious about energy independence or pushing the wetbacks who have invaded us out.
If Russia could reassemble its former east Block it would be of no real interest. The Cold War was conducted against the USSR and communism’s historically unique emnity against all other regimes. The Soviet Union is gone and it’s ideology as well. This is just a typical chapter in great power politics. Let the Europeans deal with it and let the US depart to mind it’s own business and it’s very serious internal problems

“He did absolutely nothing about his big ass promises and conspired with that filth in DC. Or else they threatened him and paid him off.”

The US Dept of State owns his left ass cheek, and the CIA owns his right. He cannot defecate without their concurring permission.

“Ukraine and Zelensky are our friends.”

Ludicrous fantasy.

My heart breaks for the Ukrainians and actually for the Russian people as well.

Ditto.

Met a Russian woman a few weeks ago who has been an American citizen for the last 20 years.

We started talking about current events, Putin and Biden.

Her 80 yo mom who lives in Moscow has failing health and she can't go home to take care of her. Her mom can't get the eye injection she needs to keep her sight. She has family members in Russia who are taking a way worse financial hits than we are.

She switched her speech to Russian for about a minute. I heard the words Putin and Biden a few times.

When she switched back to english, she informed me I just heard some major Russian curse words!! (Wish she did it in English so I could agree!)

You’d do well to read a different point of view about the Russia/Ukraine war.

“It is in the United States’ interest, especially from a national security perspective, that Ukraine stop Putin.”

An easy claim to make, impossible to substantiate.

If it were true, then it would make sense for the US to go to war in Ukraine against Russia.

But it’s not true.

It was an excellent history of Ukraine. It was fair to both sides.

Mostly it exposed the slime in DC that is really responsible for so much trouble over there over many years. The people from here were RATs and John McCain

I don’t expect you to want to hear anything but what you want to believe. That is fine with me.

Actually the second part. “Revealing Ukraine” was a total back up about how Ukraine along with Hillary’s buddies tried to frame Donald Trump. That was rather MAGA. Maybe too MAGA for you. You tend to be on The Vicki Nuland cheer squad.

Ukraine and Zelensky are our friends.

No there not

Here the root cause...Crimea and Sevastopol

It about as Strategically important to they Russian as any place in their entire country and historical never was never part of Ukraine till the Communism government trader to to Ukraine in 1954 for administration reasons ...it had been Russian for 300 years

Population

65.3% Russians (1.492 mln)
15.1% Ukrainians (344.5 thousand)

So why went the USSR fell (The “Union of Soviet Socialistic Republics” its was not Russian it was one of the Republic)

Lands that the Communism took from non Russian areas got to have free choice.. but land taken from Russian with majority Russian population and historical Russian.. don’t get free will to rejoins Russian?

And let be clean this has been issue for YEARS...Crimea and the Russian Ukraine border area that are major Russian..want to be Russian.. have Voted to Be Russian.. have treats between Ukraine and Russian to Guarantee them some autonomy and none of that’s been honored by Ukraine ....instead Ukraine been killing Russian in this area est 14000 in the last 8 years...
And add the the Neo Nazi Ukrainian (really more of anti Russian KKK had be harassing and killing ethnic Russian

So right up the the invasion.. it was the Ukraine and the west in the wrong

Or was it EVER logical that a large majority Russian area that contain one of Russia most Strategic location Sevastopol home of the Black Sea Fleet that Russia has been fighting over for over 300 years (that way before Putin).. that Russia would let that go to NATO with out a fight?..and way is Ukraine fredoms to be with the west to be with the west must be respected.. but the Russian area of Ukraine that were historical Russian.. they don’t have any right to rejoins Russia? ...

The US has States and during the Civil War West Virginia split from Virginia, Maine was once part of Massachusetts...the Oregon territories were in dispute between The US and the UK (Canada) ..remember 54.40 or fight!...they finally split on the 49 Parallel.. and i had family at that time that came over in a rowboat to move from above the 49 parallel to below to stay on the American side

So why not Ukraine and Russia Ukraine..let the people in these regions expressed that Free will

Sevastopol the largest city in Crimea and a major port on the Black Sea. Due to its strategic location and the navigability of the city’s harbours, Sevastopol has been an important port and naval base throughout its history. Since the city’s founding in 1783 it has been a major base for Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, and it was previously a closed city during the Cold War.

“Ukraine and Zelensky are our friends.”

I’m personally rooting for Ukraine (my father’s parents were both born there), and I like Zelenskyy...but it *really* gives me pause when George Soros is also on their side and rooting against Russia (which, under Putin, has resisted the NWO/Reset crowd). Just saying - because politics definitely makes for strange bedfellows.

“I occasionally run into Ukrainians at work. I’ll start asking them what they think.
Prior to this, they all thought Putin would never do this”

Putin has been obsessed with Ukraine and is a nut job about them not joining NATO/EU/USA. We’ve know this for at least 18 years. Putin doesn’t like democracy, thinks its chaotic, and wants nothing to do with it.

So what does the Biden administration State Department do?

Sometime between Oct-Dec 2021 they gave Zelensky and the Ukrainians a NATO offer with zero guidelines on how to achieve this offer.

Russia started saber rattling, waited through the Olympics, then invaded. Here are the people and entities responsible for the Russia Ukraine war IMO

1) Putin & the Russian establishment started this war. They weren’t bluffing about Ukraine being their red line.

2) The United States State Department needs to come clean on what was offered Ukraine to join NATO, and why that “bear bait” was offered, when they knew it meant war.

3) Zelensky we don’t know if he’s a puppet or naive political operator, he could be both.
