Identify any US vital interest in Ukeland.

Keeping Putin away from the Polish border. Depriving Putin of 40+ million new population and valuable mineral and industrial interests. He would be immensely more powerful and dangerous.

If it were true, then it would make sense for the US to go to war in Ukraine against Russia.

No. Ukraine is not a US ally and sending US troops would be a mistake. This is not an all or nothing proposition. Reagan defeated the Soviet Union without ever going to war against them.

Before judgment is passed, how about listen to the above?

Watch “Ukraine is on Fire”—— https://rumble.com/vwxxi8-ukraine-on-fire.html

How many YEARS have we been listening and watching lies from the very people about many things that are important? Noow these very same people are unanimously pro-Ukraine. They flipped the switch from Covid to Ukraine, just as gas prices go through the roof, the economy tanks, and all of the news about the EUA non-vaccines is out for anyone to see who cares, they find something to distract us. I hate that people are dying in Eastern Europe. I also hate that people were murdered to keep the world locked down for a real virus, but a fake pandemic.

Using the Cold War NATO strategic planning matrix you are correct. That template was valid when there was a Soviet Union whose entire reason to be was predicated on the destruction of all other forms of government Now it is Russia acting in a traditional manner in it’s border lands and in reaction to what seems to be a far reaching strategy of encirclement by Brussels. All of which is of marginal US interest. Our vital interest ate in the big domestic issues of immigration, national economy, energy independence, and electronic media thought control by censorship. Foreign areas of real national interest focus on keeping foreign adversarys out of the west ern hemisphere and a massive struggle with China whose national ambitions embrace key elements that are existentially hostile to the US.

Yes, Zelensky was elected for many of the same reasons we elected Trump.

How on earth can you say the Soviet Union is gone and it’s IDEOLOGY AS WELL. That is exactly the problem. Putin is restoring the earlier police state mentality of the USSR, and wants to restore these borders. Do you really think that Poland would be working so hard to help Ukraine if they were not afraid of having the USSR back in position to control them? Russia is already parked on the other side of “Niagara Falls” along the Baltic countries. If Putin takes Ukraine, he will also be on the other side of Niagara Falls with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, etc. None of those countries want Putin a few steps away from their liberated countries. They remember the secret police, the torture, etc. that were commonplace under the old Soviet control, which Putin seeks to continue before he dies, probably of cancer.

Do you think the Ukrainians would be fighting so hard if they did not have bitter memories of the old Soviet regime and see Putin as its active symbol? If Putin succeeds, Europe will probably end up in a nasty mess that we will have to get involved in for our own survival. Last time it was Japan that finally got us into the European war. This time it no doubt would be China that would achieve the same result if we did manage to stay out.

Unfortunately President Trump’s call to congratulate President Zelensky had a string attached. How our President thought this would not become an issue is hard to believe given the number of people who actually heard this call:

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/12/i-would-like-you-to-do-us-a-favor-the-30-minute-phone-call-that-changed-trumps-presidency.html

President Trump never did like the amount of material he was offered for morning briefings, and that apparently extended to briefings prior to important phone calls. While that may have served him well in business situations, he would have encountered fewer difficulties during his presidency by viewing such briefings. Did he not understand how hard it is to keep secrets in DC?

From the link: “The person said a six-page pre-brief with attachments was once prepared for Trump before a call to a foreign leader. But that turned out to be too long, as did a single-page version. Preparing pre-brief note cards that offered about three talking points for Trump to make on a call was the norm, according to this person.... The individual said that when Trump is done with the note cards, he often rips them up and tosses them in a burn bag. Staff who handle records have had to retrieve the burn bags from the residence, put the papers out on a table and tape them back together to preserve them as official presidential records, this person said.”

It did not ‘have a string attached’.

He phrased a question as “Do us a favor and...” which they used to impeach him.

It was not “Investigate Joe Biden or ELSE”

Of course he did not say “Investigate Joe Biden or ELSE” In international affairs, threats need to be more subtle.

If I remember my history at the time of the phone call our President was delaying or withholding hundreds of millions of Ukraine defense aid dollars which had already been approved by Congress. You think Zelensky did not recognize a threat even if it was expressed as asking for a favor?

That’s ridiculous in my opinion. What Biden said about withholding the billion dollars was way worse and showed a quid pro quo. Trump’s words were in passing and quite innocent in contrast.
That being said I think Trump really blew the messaging war during that first impeachment. Most people had no idea what he was even referring to because the networks would not play Biden’s words. We were few of the people who ever knew what Biden actually said and that is the Trump team’s fault. I emailed him multiple times begging him to just put it in a commercial so that people could be exposed to the truth but it was not to be.

Do you have a link about What Biden said about withholding the billion dollars. Or at least a date and more details, I don’t remember anything about this issue.

Here you go. This is the link I kept emailing to Trump and the White House during the impeachment and urged them to more widely distribute it.
I think it could have made a big difference.
