“Sorry to be a free speech absolutist.”
Billionaire Elon Musk has been seen as very helpful to Ukrainians when he quickly launched Starlink internet services after the country lost access to the web. The orbital internet technology is far more challenging for Russia to cut off than localized ISPs.
But it wasn’t just Russia wanting to deny Ukrainians an uncensored internet. World leaders called on Starlink to block Russia news broadcasts from reaching Ukrainians as well.
“Starlink has been told by some governments (not Ukraine) to block Russian news sources. We will not do so unless at gunpoint. Sorry to be a free speech absolutist.”

“This guy has really surprised me. He seems honest and ethical. I would love to see Trump/Elon 2024.”
I understand the sentiment & attraction of that ticket.
However, I think Musk should stay in private business because he can add more value to our nation through commerce than politics.
President Trump on the other hand should stick to the political arena.
Both men can make great contributions to our nation as we move through the Biden/Harris apocalypse.
It may be old, but it works and it is cheap.
the basic tech has not changed, it is mostly the ability for recovery and reuse that is better now.
They didn’t have to make suits for 57 genders in 1969..
Russia is not investing in it, I don’t think. It is a simple use of old Cold War stockpiles.
Space-X and other new ventures are the future. The Moon was beyond the reach of the private sector, but manned space, apparently, isn’t.
Two different titles, two different sources, Karen.
Musk has plans to build bases on the Moon—but it may take a while.
Once he decouples from NASA he can make it happen.
OK—you went there—here is an article about the Apollo space suits.
Warning—fasten your set belt:

In 1969, lethal risks were acceptable. Not all astronauts survived the process leading to the Moon.
Today, politicians & bureaucrats are profoundly risk-adverse. They’ll Get canceled for using the ‘wrong’ pronoun; actual risk of death makes them apoplectic - despite working in a high-risk industry.
Me too. Imagine a ticket with Trump/Musk presidency.... It would be the end of the same old raw green deals.

I worry that the person thinking things are wrong is wrong. Because that would lead to decisions that are wrong. And that’s just wrong.
Am I wrong?
I wouldn’t mind seeing that as well. I feel hes open and honest with what he thinks which is actually nice for once. Of course in recent years those “pesky” Requirements didn’t keep Obama from becoming president and and even Ted Cruz Was considered as well.
“So...they say we landed safely on the moon in 1969, but they just can’t quite seem to figure out how to make a spacesuit 53 years later?”
Considering that Climate Change and Mooslim Outreach have been the Be All and End All for NASA for at least the last decade.....
I saw a video where Elon was asked if he would want to be president. He said no, “it wouldn’t be any fun at all.”
What if he was only the “ideas” man not the guy out front?
Well put.
BINGO - Ukrainians aren't stupid children and either are we... Most of us can figure out who's lying after a while. It's time for 'elites' to back off on being control freaks.
