Star conductor and close friend of Putin dropped by his management ahead of deadline to speak out or be fired from Munich Philharmonic
Russia’s star conductor, Valery Gergiev, has been dropped by his management over his close ties to Vladimir Putin as he faces a looming deadline to publicly denounce the Russian president or lose yet another role in his rapidly crumbling career.
The 68-year-old Russian, an old friend and supporter of Putin, has faced increasing pressure to speak out against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine over the last week. He has been removed from performances around the world and faces more professional punishment if he does not condemn Putin’s aggression in the next 24 hours.
On Sunday, his manager, Marcus Felsner, announced he would be dropping Gergiev, who he called “the greatest conductor alive and an extraordinary human being with a profound sense of decency”, but who “will not, or cannot, publicly end his long-expressed support for a regime that has come to commit such crimes.”

No deviations from the narrative!
Although the U.S. media would have you believe Trump is as bad as Putin, I don't believe it or any comparison between the two.
> I’m good with cancelling people associated with crimes
> against humanity.
The global cabal considers support for Trump a “crime against humanity.” They’ll be coming for you next. See Ottawa.
Don’t cheer on the cancel culture. This musician has NOTHING AT ALL to do with the invasion of Ukraine.
It’s this kind of hysteria that got us into WWI.
I thoroughly expect to eventually read stories about Russian soldiers bayoneting Ukrainian babies.
A big percentage of Freepers supported Vaccine mandates.
A big percentage of Freepers support Ukraine — just like Soros, Biden, and the Globalists.
A big percentage of Freepers support Cancel Culture, if we’re canceling someone who is friends with Putin.
This is barely a Conservative site any more.
Yep

Yep. You nailed it there.
Where have I heard that before?
He's part of the Putin marketing team.
> This is barely a Conservative site any more.
+1
Sorry but that type of coercion is bitterly resented by individuals even if they share the sentiments of those looking to force public demonstrations of fealty. Democrats at their core cannot tolerate individual conscience and behavior. They always seek to herd people into the collective of their design.
Land of the Free? Yeah, right.
We went from “get vaxxed or get fired” to “denounce Putin or get fired.”
Hopefully leftwingers will join conservatives in finally canceling the Russians who have for years been stirring up racial animosity via BLM etc here at home.
I warned you all. We are heading towards the Mother of all Sedition Acts. And likely this site goes bye-bye when it happens.
Submit to my mask mandate or vax mandate, or lose everything.
Denounce Trump or the J6 activists, or get canceled.
Support BLM, or face the wrath of the cancel lords.
If you don't tow the YouTube, Twitter or Google line, your voice doesn't count.
Don't publicly express hatred for Putin, lose everything.
There is a distinct pattern here that I think people should start to fear. I cannot recall a time ever where you had to publicly declare your political conformity on everything or else face personal destruction. Does anyone else find this disturbing?
> He’s part of the Putin marketing team.
Please provide corroborated evidence that this musician’s activities directly contributed to the invasion of Ukraine.
If you contribute to the Freedom Convoy to DC, however indirectly, you may be cited for aiding and abetting an insurrection and have your bank accounts frozen.
Your premise is wrong. I disagree that a BIG percentage of Freepers supported vaccine mandates. I'd say a BIG percentage of Freepers supported choice over mandates. I support Ukraine over Russia, nothing wrong with that, Putin is a war criminal. This "conductor" is a close friend with Putin, part of his marketing team and propaganda - he's got dirty hands.
It’s scaring the you-know-what out of me.
