HOUSTON – A Houston couple has been indicted for capital murder in the death of 8-year-old Keyontae Holzendorf, who died in a motel room bathtub after being severely beaten, handcuffed, and bound with duct tape in March 2021.
“The way this little boy died is almost unthinkable and absolutely horrifying” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said. “We believe he was handcuffed, bound at the ankles and legs with ligatures and duct-tape, had his mouth taped shut and was beaten so severely that he either died from blunt force trauma or suffocated on the blood from his broken teeth.”
The attack was carried out by the boy’s mother and her boyfriend, Ogg said.

This isn’t human behavior. Completely feral and rabid.
Lord, have mercy.
How can anybody do such horrible things to anybody, let alone an eight-year-old child? Her *own* child, no less.
Unbelievable. Heartbreaking. Rest peacefully in the Lord’s arms, little one. They can’t hurt you any more.
DO NOT give the “mother” immunity to testify. They BOTH must be put to death.
He had a million dollar smile. We’ll never know what great things he might have achieved had he been born into a loving family.

It took them almost a year to indict? That must have been a super tough case to investigate. I am so glad they stuck with it.
Usually the male involved isn’t the father; can’t determine that in the coverage I see here. As with lions, the female won’t mate while caring for the young from another male, so the new alpha male kills the young of his predecessor (with each female involved).
Words can’t describe the sorrow I have for this poor young child. God, receive his soul and give him rest in your care!
This adorable little boy deserved to be loved and cared for. Heartbreaking.
Kudos to the woman who tried to save him. (video) The authorities should’ve known his injuries weren’t from a fall off a bike. He could’ve been saved.
Some people need killing. These adults do.
If the state lacks the balls to put them on death row, here’s hoping karma kicks in, in the form of gen pop justice

Sad part he’s likely been put through these beatings for 8 yrs. .Best can be said he’s in the arms of the Savior and knows what love is now.
Absolutely! Automatic death penalty to anyone who does something like this. JMHO
When I see his beaming face enjoying those waffles, and I read about the excruciating torture these two subhumans inflicted on this innocent little boy, I want to see both of them thrown into a bonfire, hogtied hand to foot. And that’s too good for them. I wept as I read this horrible story.
