Would Vice President Kamala Harris show the same commitment to the Constitutional as former Vice President Mike Pence? We might find out.

Most of the media buzz around former Vice President Mike Pence’s speech to the Federalist Society revolved around him saying, “President Trump is wrong.” He added, “Under the Constitution, I had no right to change the outcome of our election. And Kamala Harris will have no right to overturn the election when we beat them in 2024.”

I believe you're right. But it wasn't up to Pence to declare a dispute. It was up to Congressmen to object. And they did and they voted on those objections. Which is the way it is supposed to work.

However Nancy's clever redirecting the Trump protest into the appearance of an insurrection, put pressure on Congress.

I doubt seriously Congress would have voted to overturn the official certified electors of any state. But there was a chance Congress might have ordered an audit or review.
