Republicans, Stand Against Excess
Be the party of the big center—of normal, regular people—against the forces of ideology assailing them.

"A great party can’t be a cult. Cults are by definition marginal, not of the majority. Donald Trump brought new voters in, it’s true, and the party would do well to hold them by taking good stands. But don’t forget the votes he lost. He never came close in two tries to winning the popular vote, he lost once-Republican suburbs, in 2020 he lost Arizona and Georgia, dooming Senate candidates and giving control of the chamber to the Democrats. As long as he dominates the scene the party will not succeed nationally.
How sad that would be when the problems we face are piled so high.
To his friends and followers I would say, put America first. Don’t be a cultist, be a patriot. Help your country, let go of old obsessions. Go forward with a spirit of repair and lead this wounded country."

I’m not interested in any politician who sat quiet while Trump was being torn down on fraudulent charges for four solid years, Russia! and Ukraine!...
I’m not interested in any candidate who remained quiet when the election was stolen.
And I’m not interested in any candidate who has silently acquiesced to the covid hoax.
So, granted, that means the number of politicians I’d vote for is pretty short, in fact, I’m not sure if anyone has made the list yet.
But it sure isn’t Jeb.
Hey BEOTCH. (But don’t forget the votes he lost.)
REALLY? HE DIDN’T LOSE!
THE LEFT STOLED MY VOTE BY WAY OF CHEATING AND FRAUD.
Reagandid not ‘pick’ Bush! He had to accept the party’s pick for VP or he would never have been supported. Such BS.
Jebra should go join his old man in Hell.
Well stated!
Jeb trying to be relevant and failing at it.
Shut up Yeb!
The “Brown One” is going down in Texas on March 1.
The Bush “legacy” is rapidly coming to a close.
It’s a fat guy whose never had a real job.
Yeah, Trump only has the backing of 98.4% of Republicans so good point Jeb...NOT!
So what is the message supposed to be?
Yeah, Jeb, so Trump didn’t win a majority in either election*, but he got more votes than ANY OTHER REPUBLICAN IN AMERICAN HISTORY, more than your father or your brother. So STFU. (*Joe Biden did not get 81 million LEGAL votes.)
This fat incompetent pimple of a politician is so “irrelevant” that his picture is now the graphic for that word in the serious dictionaries.
Donald Trump’s evil plan was to make the lives of Americans better, bring back capital with tax cuts and de-regulation, restrict illegal trafficking at the southern border that drove down wages, brought in sex slaves, phen-phen, gangsters and all the attendant pathologies, and—GASP!—stop Iran from going nuclear, China from gaining world domination, and NATO countries from falling into Russia’s orbit. He also made fun of the dishonest media.
Boy, what a stupid cult. Totally irrational. Did I mention evil and racist?/s
Make Reverend Jeb rich. Send your children off to war, your jobs to China, your sovereignty to illegals who’ll keep his lawn greeen and clean. Reverend Jeb promises you to be moderate and good, and cave to the left every time they demand something.
Typical GOP apologist logic. I studied the numbers for 2016 in Pennsylvania. Hillary got more votes statewide than Obama 2012. In a normal election year against a normal GOP opponent she *would have won*, and easily.
But if you look in the rural counties, Trump performed off the charts. So off the charts that it swamped the Dems electoral advantage in the PA cities and suburbs. It was completely out of the blue....but it happened.
But of course Republicanism mostly want to protect their nose-in-the-air country club suburbanism at all costs...and Trump and rural voters won't do that for them.
Stuff 'em. Feckless, unprincipled losers who have failed to conserve anything for 50 years. The country turned into a toilet while they siphoned off our money and twiddled their thumbs.
:)
Noonan is just a RINO shill (now aligned with by loser YEB!) perfectly content with second-tier power and the perks that come with.
She and YEB! are just like Democrats conveniently forgetting the age-old problem with (small ‘d’) democracy foreseen by our founders. Even then they saw the potentially twisted effect of sheer numbers in places like NY, MA and PA affecting the need for shared common values, morals and ideals across the full scope of the then-13 colonies (States). A UNITED States - not a majority of numbers-infested cities and locales.
If their sheer ‘numbers’ were enough, then the make up of the House of Representatives would reflect that, governed by census changes in representative apportionment. It’s a wonder to me how NYC and CA can come up with such vastly outstripping Democrat voter numbers yet their REPRESENTATION apportionment doesn’t reflect that. What that tells me is that massive numbers of illegal voters, improper voters or just outright cheating is going on and it’s no wonder they call for abolishment of the Electoral College - our only protection against mob rule. Thankfully, it will take a Constitutional Amendment to do that and 3/4ths of the states’ legislatures to approve it.
On March 1, Jeb’s son is expected to force TX Attorney General Ken Paxton into a May runoff. So many in the TX GOP still think the Bushes are somewhat “conservative.”
Reagan wanted to tap conservative Paul Laxalt of NV for VP, but his advisors did not think that both candidates coming from two neighboring states would be a sound political strategy. Then Bill Clinton 12 years later does just that with Al Gore. Yea, Caesar had his Brutus, Reagan his Bush and Trump his Pence.
