Meat Loaf was a great guy—got to know him very well doing Celebrity Apprentice. He was smart, talented, open, and warm.
His success was enormous—we all loved him. Meat Loaf will be greatly missed!

Not my flavor of music, but RIP.
I’m sure he was a great guy - but I could never stand his music.
His passing hit me harder than I expected. Bat out of Hell is still in my playlist. Saw him live once and it was a great show.
Saw him perform in Reno. Liked it. He seemed like a fun loving rocker.
Unapologetically LOUD, and wry humor at the same time.

Saw him in concert in 1978 in Memphis. a few days after the police strike ended, so the concert was at 6 PM instead of 8 PM.

He dies like a man with his boots on. His statement about Covid:

Just ran into that today and watched it. Very good.

At 16 years old, Paradiso by the Dashboard Lights was an anthem.
He was great as the bad guy in the movie Black Dog.
A performer whose memory is cherished by millions passes...but I have a feeling no prominent Dems will tweet any condolences.

Now have second memory of Meatloaf.
