I’m sure he was a great guy - but I could never stand his music.

His passing hit me harder than I expected. Bat out of Hell is still in my playlist. Saw him live once and it was a great show.

Saw him in concert in 1978 in Memphis. a few days after the police strike ended, so the concert was at 6 PM instead of 8 PM.

Everyone do yourself a favor and look up his performance of the National Anthem at the 1994 MLB All-Star game.

He dies like a man with his boots on. His statement about Covid:
“If I die, I die, but I’m not going to be controlled,”

At 16 years old, Paradiso by the Dashboard Lights was an anthem.

A performer whose memory is cherished by millions passes...but I have a feeling no prominent Dems will tweet any condolences.

Biden also released a statement regarding Meat Loaf:
“Go light on the onions; they give me gas.”

Hardly my kind of music, as anyone who has read my music posts here knows. Nonetheless, I found him entertaining in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I also like his stage name.

There’s an old video of Meatloaf saying Trump should run for president and would have his support.

1st concept I ever went to in 1978..great concert...man...time flies. I’m getting old. Also liked him in Fight Club.

OK, so Meat Loaf said he'll do anything for love, but he won't do that. No, he won't do that.
So what was it that he won't do?
Australian kisses?

Well, well, just dammit all...
Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, one of the finest psalms around.
So many great singers, so many great songs, one cannot say who is the best. All one can say is that Meatloaf was one of the best and one hell of a man. His singing gave me great pleasure over many years. I admired him greatly, RIP.
