A speeding motorcyclist who was being tracked by a Los Angeles Police Department helicopter was killed in a brutal head-on crash during the chase.
The unidentified cyclist was speeding down Roscoe Boulevard in West Hills, Calif. at about 1 p.m. on Thursday before slamming head-on into a vehicle making a left turn.
Cops initially ran the license plate and determined the motorcycle was stolen, LAPD spokesman Sgt. Bruce Borihanh told the Post.
The officers then called on an LAPD helicopter to track the motorcyclist, who took off at a high speed.

When I lived in LA, I remember watching the networks stuck on a guy on an overpass wigging out about something. They showed him light his truck on fire with his dog inside then lean against the railing with a rifle and kill himself. It was so sad for the dog. I’ve never forgotten it.

Have they released his identity yet? My schadenfreude won't be complete until I know who he is was.

Force = mass x velocity. Actually that's momentum. Force = mass x acceleration.

I feel sorry for the car driver though. Same here. Hope everyone in that car is OK. Horrible crash...
Hubby and I were out in Los Angeles in November visiting family. The entire area seems like a lawless, foreign hellhole to me. FAR from 'The Golden State' it once was.

Had one here in Montgomery AL about 15 or so years ago. Moron on a rice burning crotch rocket came around a curve, accelerated to over 120mph and t-boned a minivan that was pulling into a parking lot.
The minivan was almost cut clean in half, what was left of the moron was found 100ft down the road, and the bike was another 150ft further down from there.

Fallbrook from Topanga is maybe 2 miles west from there.

That was my only thought. I didn’t care about the motorcycle person, honestly.
But the driver of the car he hit will see that in his head for a long time.
