adding new COVID-19 protocols as classes are set to resume.

Colleges around the United States are setting up new safety protocols amid the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, installing restrictions that have already interrupted campus life as some classes move online and in-person activities remain limited.

According to Fox News, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore plans to require N95 or KN95 masks or a combination of a cloth mask and a surgical mask for every student and faculty member returning to campus, the school announced on Friday. Masks will also be distributed throughout the campus. ..."

There is a reason you were born with a working immune system and no mask.

I firmly believe that Liberals/Progressives are in a hypnotic state and are unable to think rationally.

whether it’s an attempt to save Boris or something else, there are signs UK has had enough:

18 Jan: UK Telegraph: ‘Wildly incorrect’ Covid modelling bounced Boris Johnson into second lockdown, MPs told
Model predicting 4,000 deaths per day was leaked to the press before it could be challenged, says Steve Baker
By Sarah Knapton
Modelling from Cambridge University and Public Health England (PHE) had suggested that without immediate restrictions there could be 4,000 deaths per day by the end of December.

Mr Baker said that he had told Mr Johnson to challenge the model, and Prof Tim Spector, of King’s College London, and Prof Carl Heneghan, of Oxford University, were called into Downing Street to go over the data.
But by the time the models were shown to be inaccurate, it was too late to stop public calls for restrictions...
“It is monstrous that millions of people were locked down, effectively under house arrest, their businesses destroyed, their children prevented from getting an education.
“The situation is now perfectly plain that even our most basic liberties can be taken away by the stroke of a pen, if a minister has been shown sufficiently persuasive modelling that tells them there is trouble ahead.”...

Mr Baker, the MP for Wycombe, called for the establishment of an Office for Research Integrity within the Cabinet Office to challenge the data coming from modelling...

Mr Seely (Bob Seely, the MP for the Isle of Wight), warned that the “doomsday public health scenarios” had been used to create a “despicable” and “unforgivable” climate of fear, based on “a sort of glorified guesswork.”
“Never before has so much harm been done to so many, by so few based on so little questionable and potentially flawed data,” he said.
“We had a nervous Government presented with doomsday scenarios which panicked it into a course of profound acting with shocking outcomes.
“I believe the use of modelling is pretty much getting up there for a national scandal.”...
“Why did we think it was in our nation’s interest to create a grotesque sense of fear to manipulate behaviour?”, he added.
“Never again should the Government rely on dubious modelling.”...

Miriam Cates, the MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge, said far too little attention had been paid to the collateral damage of lockdowns.
“This wasn’t just a paper exercise,” she said. “These models and the weight they have been given has caused serious destruction to lives,
“Who was modelling the outcomes of child abuse, of poverty, of loneliness and despair and fear?”...

Even a mask that would protect from airborne virions doesn’t keep people from touching door knobs, handles, ANYWHERE one might touch during the course of a day. The process of insulating oneself from the pitfalls of everyday contact with it is exhausting if you really think about it. In end, if you give into it and try to make it work you become an obsessive compulsive germophobe.

It won’t stop the virus. Paper masks, worn all day, will be an excellent breeding ground for bacteria, however.

1. It is not a natural virus. Relying on natural immune response to deal with an artificial virus has no particular precedent. So why do it?

2. Vaccines lose their value in mere months. The only clinical trial measurements of booster value is from Israel. They found value in one booster, and none in additional boosters given when the first booster aged and became useless.

3. Re-infections do happen. Often. Not rare. Difficult to measure because tests can be challenged. There have now been so many serious symptoms cases that it is clear they do happen. Either immunity fades with time or a variant with mutations specifically arranged to defeat immunity of whatever sort creates the re-infection.

4. N95 Masks are not useless.

One of the places where you are least likely to encounter critical thinking is on a university campus. Today, they are more like mental hospitals.

KN95s again.

NYS got caught handing these out and stopped after the blowback.

KN95s meet ChiCom standards and aren’t authorized for use in healthcare settings in the US.

Might as well just wear a cheapie made by ChiCom muzzle that costs a flock of a lot less.

It’s not like any of them work anyway.

But them CoupFlu has NEVER been about public health, has it...

--- "how many in UK died OF covid"

As of 19 January 2022

( 153,017 "official" UK deaths over almost two years / 67,886,011 people in the UK ) x 100 = 0.225 percent of the population.

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/region/united-kingdom

0.225 % over two years is less than one quarter of one percent.

A very small "pandemic" indeed, considering the media hysteria and utterly political nature of lockdowns and mandates.

--- "And for Johns Hopkins to be peddling this crap..."

And worldometer, IMHE at University of Wasjomgton and Statista.

All show the same glaring anomalies, suggesting that the data taxonomy, data collection and data sets themselves at this point are untrustworthy.

Unless your aim is to foment and market hysteria.
