Advantage: Djokovic

Things that make you go hmmmmm.

vaccine myocarditis

Yet they continue to push, nay, demand that young men get a vaccine known to be only moderately effective in stopping transmission or contraction of the virus. It’s continued to be forcibly imposed on young people and athletes who have very little chance of death or even serious complications from the infection itself.

Australia, which requires anyone arriving from abroad to be vaccinated originally granted Novak Djokovic a visa to play in the Australian Open based on an exemption – having acquired natural immunity from having contracted COVID twice. Then the Australian government determined to make an example of him. They determined that his mere presence in the country constituted an incitement of dissent against the vaccine. So Australia’s immigration minister revoked Djokovic’s visa effectively throwing him out of the Open and the Country.

Australia’s loss, Djokovic’s gain: djovorak

He won’t pick up another trophy but he also doesn’t have to worry about being felled by myocarditis. And thank you President Trump, for preventing (for the time being) us from being Australia.morefield we would be australia

They HAD to deport him.

Can you imagine the demonstrations among the fans were he to have walked onto a court in Melbourne!

I’m glad he’s getting the hell out. I was worried they’d stick him in prison for a few years. They’re lost their minds over there.

Would like to see the top players walk out and tell the Aussie’s to stuff it in support of Djokovic.

This will never happen. They all (Nick Kyrgios being an honest man, an exception) are salivating over the potential $2M of prize money available to them in the absence of Djokovic. They are all Tonya Harding inside...Forget the sense of camaraderie and integrity among professional tennis players, and yes, you Rafa Nadal, were the first to denounce Novak. So, let’s continue to enjoy Nadal’s scratching his private parts during 2022 Australian Invitational.

And if all the red-blooded spectators / fans were to boycott the games in protest?

They won’t. They’ve been vaccinated even though some have had Covid, like Nadal, and feel that Djovick should be like them and just get the shot. They are angry with him for getting an exemption. They may change their minds if one them keels over on the court from vaccine side effects.

No. The mostly Australian fans are all in with the vaxx. They are angry with Djockivic hence the governments need to prevent him from playing. They claim to fear riots if he is allowed play. Stockhm Syndrome.

“granted Novak Djokovic a visa to play in the Australian Open based on an exemption – having acquired natural immunity from having contracted COVID twice.”

How can they claim that he has acquired natural immunity? He’s caught it twice. Evidently, natural immunity is immunity.

There seem to be some cases indeed. Lamar Jackson tested positive (and THAT may be the key - emphasis on TESTED) at least twice.

But no one talks about survivors of the disease, who are legion.

Early on my Hopkins COVID-unit niece said they were seeing possible 3-month immunity. Others have shown more.

Either way, it doesn’t seem that different from the vaxes now, so why force people who had the disease to vax?

An ‘over abundance of caution’. Some indications that the best protection is from an infection followed by the vaccines.

See, here’s another issue.

There are many vaxes for which you cannot take another in too short a window.

For others, even if you don’t know if there was ever a vax or when, the doc or vet will inject to be sure, as it is safe.

But this uncertainty is another reason I don’t like getting a vax on top of infection. How do I know COVID vax doesn’t act like the former?

Reasonable, but have you asked someone with expertise?
You might find this link useful:

“How Soon Can You Get Vaccinated After Recovering From COVID-19?

From the article:

Jan. 5, 2022 - Katie McCallum
If you’re unvaccinated and recovering from COVID-19 — whether the case is mild or more severe — you might be wondering how soon before you can take the necessary step to prevent a recurrence: getting vaccinated.

The risk of reinfection — yes, it is possible — is not insignificant. The data show that unvaccinated adults are twice as likely to get COVID-19 a second time than those who get vaccinated after recovering.

“Anyone who can get vaccinated, regardless of whether or not they’ve had COVID-19, should do so,” says Dr. Robert Phillips, executive vice president and chief physician executive at Houston Methodist. “At this point, there are just too many unknowns regarding how durable and reliable natural immunity is to feel confident about the protection it may offer.
