There is no way to recover national political standing once a politician becomes a popular butt of humor, a punchline in a degrading joke. Ask Dan Quayle, who has disappeared from the scene so completely that nobody has even gotten him on the record about the vice presidency of Kamala Harris. My guess is that he is enjoying bitter laughter.
Last Thursday’s interview with Craig Melvin of Democrat-friendly NBC sealed her fate. The Zen koan-like statement, "It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day," closes the case, a brilliantly meaningless platitude that seems to demand meditation, as if there must be some enlightenment lurking in the vast mental emptiness.
But of course, there isn’t. More and more people are reluctantly coming to the conclusion that the woman who is a heartbeat away from the presidency, whose incumbent is elderly and afflicted by dementia, is a dummy. I resisted that conclusion in part because, after all, she was elected California’s attorney general and senator and she is the daughter of two professors, but mostly out of fear for our nation. But as her ex-staffers multiply in number, reports are proliferating of those who know her up close privately saying that, yeah, she is that stupid.
The sole plausible explanation for her rise is disgraceful. When she was younger and prettier, she had a sexual relationship with a powerful married man decades older than she, and thanks to his influence in a corrupt one-party state whose media would never question a Democrat politician on the rise, she had high political office handed to her, ratified by voters dutifully accepting party dictates.

This is why I laughed when one of my friends kept expressing the fear that she would be tough to beat in 2024. If she is the nominee, Trump will absolutely steamroll her. She has managed to piss off just about every group of voters imaginable.
As AG she was despicable, a total disgrace. She kept prisoners in jail longer to use them as cheap labor to fight wildfires.
She bragged about handing out jail sentences to people for possessing even small amounts of pot.....many of them Black men. Then she cackled her way through an interview admitting she herself had smoked pot. Yes, Black people have not forgotten this. Nor have young people who are a lot more pot friendly than older people.
She publicly backed and helped bail out rioters last summer. She also pivoted 180 degrees and supported defunding the police.
Then there is the matter of how she got into office. She EARNED the nickname Heels up Harris. You know who most especially hates women like that? You know who gets nuclear PO’d at women who benefit from trading sex for promotions they don’t deserve? Women.
Other than Obama, who likes her? Nobody.

She is not going to be the nominee any more than Spiro Agnew would ever have been. She is a placeholder. Leftist deep state have their choice and will attempt to cheat lie and kill their way to retain power. Again.
She will be gone before next year.
They have to do it before a possible Republican Congress, Who have to approve any vice presidential pick.

Not only does she look nasty, but she really IS nasty, as many who have worked for her can confirm. I learned everything I ever needed to know about her repellent personality watching her interrogate Neil Gorsuch during his confirmation hearings. She was an utter dud in the primaries, even liberal/progressive voters couldn't stomach her.

I don't see how the timing would work:
If she resigns as VP, she is no longer the President of the Senate ...
If she's not the President of the Senate, she no longer can cast a tie-breaking vote ...
With the Senate at 50-50, as long as the Republicans keep ranks, how are they going to approve a VP pick?

Quayle is actually a bright, decent, patriotic human being. Harris has none of these traits.
