Keep hearing of train burglaries in LA on the scanner so went to #LincolnHeights to see it all. And… there’s looted packages as far as the eye can see. Amazon packages, @UPS boxes, unused Covid tests, fishing lures, epi pens. Cargo containers left busted open on trains. @CBSLA

For the last decade or so I’ve seen the US as 50 separate “mostly” sovereign countries that are all members of the same federation - kinda like the EU. My country is Kentucky and I left the country of Washington over ten years ago.
Countries like California have little in common with my country except for the mostly common language. I’ll never go back there. If I didn’t have family in Seattle, I’d never go back to washington either. What has happened is not temporary. It is a 21st century version of the Russian Revolution - and it is international.
Why not enforce the law?

This is what happens when a Country decides not to be a Nation of Law and Order. The enforcement of laws has become WOKE: not evening distributed.
We cannot exist as a nation when we do not enforce our existing Laws.

I fear that you’re probably right. What we are seeing here is the new normal. The genie is out of the bottle, so to speak.
How about bounties? Bring two ears in to collect. You don’t have to kill them.
This is no doubt a consequence of importing a million or two illegals who have come from places where this sort of crime in endemic.

Trains will require armed private security like the cargo ships sailing past Somalia. It’s land piracy and neither the California or Federal government have any intention of enforcing the law against these bandits. Elementary school children know how to take advantage of a weak-wiled teacher and it ends with chaos in the classroom. Hardened criminals see the weakness in Newsom, Biden and all the Dem mayors and AGs, and know that it is open-season for every crime. We are just getting started on the descent into the abyss.
We just assume we’ve been on our last airplane. We’ve visited Seattle twice, South Padre Island, TX, Idaho, Montana, Chicago (several times) since the pandemic started and we always drove. BTW, we never wore masks except for one costco trip - where they were constantly chasing me down in aisles where only my wife and I were in the aisle, but they needed to make me put my mask back on.
We’ve adapted. Fortunately we moved “off grid for the most part” back in 2011 so we’re totally set up for the “new normal”.
