During his July 1, 1986 testimony before a Congressional Committee on the status of AIDS drug development, Anthony Fauci was stunned into silence due to being unable to answer why there were only 1000 patients involved in clinical testing. After desperately searching his mind for an answer during his silence he finally came up with a lame bureaucratic answer: "limited resources."

Keep in mind that less than a year later in March 1987, the FDA gave approval to AZT despite limited clinical testing.

Why is it every government job, from the post office, cops, firemen retirement happens after 20 - 30 years on the job but people in Congress or jackasses like this can stay on the job for half a century??
