"If you feel like you live in an alternative universe where reductionism replaces logic and superficiality trumps character, here’s more evidence that you may be right. We might just be living in a racist version of The Twilight Zone.
The Mankato School Board in Minnesota voted unanimously to pay non-white teachers “additional stipends” based only on the color of their skin, according to BizPac Review. If you happen to be born black or Native American and teach for the school district, you ostensibly deserve to be paid more than your peers. ..."

THIS will result in a lawsuit and victory by many white Mankato teachers.
I am going with the assumption the vast majority of white teachers approve of this.
I lived in Minneapolis for six months and it was the worst experience I have ever been around. Will never go back.
Being from PA, I never really paid much attention to the happenings in Minnesota, other than it got awful cold there and snowed a lot. But when they elected Jesse Ventura as Governor it made me question the intellectual level of the majority of voters.
I suspect in some ways that PA and MN are similar in that the big cities drag down the rest of the State.
One wonders if these board members ever consulted a lawyer familiar with MN state law regarding school taxes, board training and operation, equal opportunity and a host of other related matters.
IMO, some states’ statutes regarding school taxes, school boards, etc. are focused on keeping race neutral so that discrimination doesn’t occur, primarily for the benefits students and for staffing issues. With this, it is hard to understand exactly how this board thinks this new policy isn’t inherently racist on its face.
“If you happen to be born black or Native American and teach for the school district, you ostensibly deserve to be paid more than your peers. ...”
And why not as they had to work twice as hard to get there. After all, whitey be racist and suppress’n the colored folk.
Clear violation of Equal Protection - there will be an immediate injunction, followed by an hard slapdown in the federal courts.
Supposing they ignore judicial finfings?
The DemocRATS were always the party of anti-black racism, now they are also the party of anti-white racism.
“I am going with the assumption the vast majority of white teachers approve of this.”
Probably not...but they’ll only vent their anger in private. In public, they’ll support it fully, just as the real girls at Penn State have to support that guy on the team smashing records in swimming.
Nothing like trying to quell racism by creating more. This school board ought to be recalled.
“This school board ought to be recalled.”
Wouldn’t that be disproportionally improper during Kwanzaa?
Oh yeah, Kwanzaa. The racist holiday that was created for Blacks only as they didn’t like our multi-racial Christmas.
They’re just taking a cue from the federal government which has, for many years, been giving minority and woman-owned companies preference when awarding contracts.
Ask this question...how many white women are on that board of education?
non-white teachers “additional stipends” based only on the color of their skin,
=b=b=
Will it be a sliding scale, based on ‘darkness’ level?
I totally agree.
Unfortunately, there is another scene to be played after the injunction. The “pay raises” that the BIPOC teachers were given illegally will stand. The white teachers will get their salary increased to the same level of the BIPOC teachers.
Simple. Everybody wins.
Except the taxpayers, parents and students.
“Oh yeah, Kwanzaa. The racist holiday that was created for Blacks only as they didn’t like our multi-racial Christmas.”
And observed by white female elementary school teachers.
