CHICAGO—A Cook County jury is deliberating the case of actor Jussie Smollett, who is accused of lying to police about being attacked by two men using racist, antigay and pro-Trump language in the early morning hours of a frigid night nearly three years ago.
Their task is sorting through hours of police work and weighing Mr. Smollett’s word against that of two brothers, who claim he enlisted them to stage the attack.
When can we expect a verdict in the Jussie Smollett trial?
The jury resumed their deliberations at 9:15 a.m. CST on Thursday, after closing arguments ended Wednesday afternoon. The verdict could come as soon as today.

Jussie Smollet went out at 2am on the coldest day of the year in sub-zero temperatures and high winds for a Subway sammich.
He claimed that two men assaulted him, poured bleach on him, tied a noose around his neck and proclaimed Chicago to be "MAGA country."
Exactly what part of his claim above can even remotely be considered to be legitimate?
