Tucker Carlson’s interview with Kyle Rittenhouse is fascinating
American Thinker.com ^ | November 23, 2021 | Andrea Widburg

Tucker Carlson scored the first interview with Kyle Rittenhouse and I highly recommend it. Before the trial, Rittenhouse was a human Rorschach test: We all saw what we wanted to see. Tucker’s interview revealed a real person: articulate, intelligent, principled, nuanced in his opinions, and even-tempered.

To the left, which is uninterested in facts, Rittenhouse became a slope-browed White supremacist who grabbed his illegal Illinois rifle and crossed state lines to Kenosha hoping to bag himself a few of those Black Lives Matter people and was forced to settle for shooting their White allies. Conservatives got the facts right (Kyle had ties to Kenosha; had a legal gun, was helping to clean up graffiti, put out fires, and guard property; and found himself in mortal danger from three lifelong felons whom he then shot, killing two). However, conservatives also turned him into a plaster saint.

The real young man is...well, real. First, he speaks fluently, without the “like” and “you know” fillers that most young people use. I thought that his smooth, intelligent speech on the witness stand was because he was well-rehearsed (which is what all lawyers should do to prepare their clients for their testimony). It seems, though, that Rittenhouse really just speaks well.

He's very angry at those who defamed him so badly. While he doesn’t curse or insult them, he made it clear that he has engaged top-flight lawyers to go after the people who labeled him a White supremacist, a racist, a vigilante, and a murderer. (I wonder if he has Nick Sandmann’s attorneys.) He politely suggested that Biden should watch the trial, if he hasn’t already, before calling Rittenhouse a White supremacist. I don’t know about other viewers, but I came away strongly inclined to believe that Biden will be served with a complaint.

Near the beginning of the interview, Kyle says his first lawyer had said that Kyle was “part of the unorganized militia” and Kyle says “I’m not part of ANY kind of militia.

What I think the lawyer was referring to 10 USC §246. Kyle, being 17 at the time, was a member of the US unorganized militia at the time, and thus exactly the kind of person the Second Amendment sought to cover:

https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title10/subtitleA/part1/chapter12&edition=prelim

§246. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are—

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

Noted how Lin Wood and his partner screwed Kyle over. And over.

We tuned in to the interview last night. Kyle is absolutely adorable. Bright too. Not sure how Kyle came up with Naples FL as a consideration for relocation. The average age of Naples residents is 724 years. If his defamation and other lawsuits are successful, Kyle would be able to afford a comfortable home in Naples, which has graduated from the land of the millionaires to the home of the billionaires.

Widburg describes this fascinating interview perfectly.

KR was almost shockingly impressive.

Re # 2: absolutely no one would have understood the lawyer to mean what he meant, and 100% (minus a few) would have drawn a pejorative inference.

Pierce was a complete idiot if he did not have enough sense to realize that.

Darn! If people in Naples are living to 724 years old I might move there too!

You would be forever young in Naples—if you can afford it.

Should buy island in the Keys

One way in, one way out. And only accessible by boat.

Never mind...that’s my dream

“KR was almost shockingly impressive.”

Wondering what our country would be like if we had 50 US Senators and hundreds of House members who were able to do the same in standing up for America like he did in the interview, instead of cowering in front of the lying media.

In spite of Rittenhouse’s protestations that he is not a political person, by leftist definition Rittenhouse performed an extremely political act. Rittenhouse picked up a firearm and set about preventing leftists from destroying his community. From the left such actions cannot be tolerated, and two of them lost their lives to stop Rittenhouse from defeating them. So add that punishing leftists for their wrongdoing is another act which the left will not tolerate, even if that punishment happens to fit the definition of self defense.

At least privately, Rittenhouse would do well to realize which side of his political bread has no butter.

You are giving his ex-lawyer way way way too much credit.

What are we in the public supposed to be, statutory mind-readers? They may be in the “acting unethically” territory here.

I agree. Now it casts even a harsher light on Wood’s real motivations inserting himself to “help” in the 2020 election fraud issue.

The author also noted - “I don’t know about other viewers, but I came away strongly inclined to believe that Biden will be served with a complaint.” Kyle handled this question well, and I am hopeful he has good lawyers. As an outsider, if he does serve a complaint on Xiden, his strategy should be to take down CNN, et al first, then serve Xiden. The longer Xiden goes on in office, the less public sympathy he’ll have.
