Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said in his maiden speech to Parliament that Australia is not a secular country but a free country.

If only that were true.

Australia is Terra Nullius, a place where personal identity is lost in mindless conformity to a stifling loss of freedom.

Except, occasionally, on the weekends.

I appear to have been banned by a group which calls itself a freedom movement for invoking God and talking about God too often for them.

I would estimate that God was central to about a quarter of the very short speeches I gave at that movement and barely mentioned in the rest.

It is certainly their right to decide who can and cannot use their megaphones.

But when they are occupying a public space, then excluding faith based thought seems very dangerous to me.
