Well... the BBB bill is being passed using reconciliation and needs only 51 votes - so the Dems have the numerical votes.

The time for McConnell to stop this was last month when he raised the debt ceiling to give the Democrats time to force Sinema and Manchin to heel.

McConnell already blew all his leverage.

Now - MAYBE - McConnell could get Manchin to switch sides but I doubt it.

The problem is that the GOP can’t do it themselves because they don’t have the numbers. It’s all a numbers game.

Even if he gets 100% GOP opposition to BBB, he needs Manchin or Sinema or some other Dem to get some common sense and oppose BBB.

That why I keep saying that the time to get rid of a GOP candidate you don’t like is in the primaries…and then, no matter who it is, vote for the GOPer because at least there is some leverage and then the GOP leader in the Senate (or the House) will actually have the ability to defeat a bill by rounding up the GOP members and getting their votes. Without a numerical majority, it’s almost impossible.
