HOT TAKES: Leftists Have a Collective Mental Breakdown Over Rittenhouse Verdict
https://redstate.com ^ | By Jeff Charles | Nov 19, 2021 2:30 PM ET

The verdict is in and the trial is over. Kyle Rittenhouse has been judged not guilty on all counts in connection to the shooting in Kenosha, WI. As you might have expected, the left wasn’t too happy about the jury’s decision.

At this very moment, the Twitterverse is full of hot takes from aggrieved, virtue-signaling leftists whining about how America is such a racist nation because it did not convict a man who clearly defended himself from three aggressors. Here are some gems for your viewing pleasure.

Voto Latino, a left-wing activist organization ostensibly dedicated to “empowering a new generation of Latinx voters,” tweeted:

Kyle Rittenhouse has been found “not guilty” on all charges.

We all saw this coming but this is another reminder that white supremacy is alive and well in America.

Far-left progressive group Democracy Now also chimed in, claiming that Rittenhouse’s verdict was the result of “white supremacy.” They tweeted:

The Nation’s @ElieNYC predicted weeks ago that Rittenhouse would likely go free. “I don’t have a crystal ball,” he said. “What I know is the law, and what I know is what white people are willing to do to defend white supremacy.”

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio defended the men who attacked Rittenhouse, calling them “victims”:

Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum are victims. They should be alive today.

The only reason they’re not is because a violent, dangerous man chose to take a gun across state lines and start shooting people.

To call this a miscarriage of justice is an understatement.

Leftist activist and grifter Shaun King, also known as Martin Luther Cream, takes issue with gun laws that are supposedly used against black Americans. He wrote:

BREAKING: Kyle Rittenhouse was just found NOT GUILTY on ALL charges. Yeah, all of them.

Ultimately, gun laws were imagined, written, and are enforced in America to protect white boys and men.

Those same laws are primarily used punitively against Black people.

America.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid also weighed in:

We knew, but it’s sometimes helpful to remind ourselves how America was designed to work. It continues to work as designed. We have learned again what is considered legal for *some* people to do in America. It’s helpful to know where you stand in your country. Be safe out there.

California state Sen. Scott Wiener brought the shooting of Tamir Rice into the situation:

-12 year old Tamir Rice is killed for looking like a “threat” while playing.

-17 year old vigilante Kyle Rittenhouse — who shot & killed 2 people — is acquitted.

Our racist justice system has once again profoundly failed the American people.

— Senator Scott Wiener (@Scott_Wiener) November 19, 2021

Rashad Robinson, President of Color of Change, also claimed the acquittal was due to white supremacy:

It’s not that Rittenhouse’s acquittal is a win for white supremacy. It’s that Rittenhouse was acquitted BECAUSE white supremacy still controls the entire process.

The left has been promoting the white supremacy narrative ever since this story was brought to national attention. Left-leaning politicians and media activists insisted Rittenhouse was a virulent white supremacist who was looking for blood in Kenosha on that day.

However, not a single one of these individuals found a shred of evidence showing that the young man holds racist views – and there can be no doubt that they scoured his social media, desperately looking for any post that could be construed as bigoted. Unfortunately, they will continue using this story to push their “everyone is racist” narrative. The question is: Will America buy it?

Keep talking idiots. The list of people who are going to get their asses sued off by Rittenhouse just gets longer and longer.

Most people will do the right thing on a jury, despite what they might say to the television about another case.

Its not a guarantee, but that was my experience on jury duty. Twelve jurors, some with strong prejudices one way or the other, eventually came to a unanimous and appropriate decision on each charge. I was impressed.

I think it’s a problem with copy-paste on some websites. I’ve seen it here lots of times.

When you see actual duplicate posts, one right after the other, on FR, that’s usually a mouse issue.

That was my experience with my only trial of an underage DUI. The jury was made up of completely different classes of people, with entirely different backgrounds and opinions on the matter.

We eventually came to a unanimous verdict that we all could live with.

I will say I felt exactly opposite how I felt when the OJ jury came in.

I agree. The OJ jury was certainly a case of jury nullification in the guise of social justice.

A part of me wonders if this jury was more influenced by the Chauvin jury than by the mob outside. They may have felt that the Chauvin jury was unduly influenced by the media and the mob, and so this jury dug in their heels and stuck to the facts and the law.

[[however there is a process for weeding out the kind of people you are encouraging to serve jury duty.

Well put, u wouldn’t want peopel who object to the verdict which had overwhelming evidence of innocence on kyle’s part, on a jury-

Upon reading that, I realized that there is no possible accommodation with the radical left. They is no way to accept them as rational human beings any longer.

So now Kyle Rittenhouse is responsible for all of the shootings in Chicago?

You’re learning. Yes, when blacks shoot each other, it’s because of “white supremacy.” Also applies to when they fail academically, refuse to speak intelligible English, or fall down the stairs. “Racism” is incredibly powerful.

Hoping Rittenhouse becomes rich suing these folks for defamation.

There is nothing in the way of Federal charges that can be applied here.

I SINCERELY hope you are right and I am wrong. Time will tell.

White supremacy / white privilege: the dullest tools in the tool shed to try to explain something the left sees as a bugaboo - a white person legitimately defending themselves against a mob bent on causing great bodily harm or death.

Notice I didn’t declare the race or color of the mob inhabitants’ skin.

The same tired shibboleths used since time immemorial to justify rabid behavior, just different verbs poking at the same thing.

To ANY of the quoted writers: Racism? Please name the non-white actor in the Rittenhouse case. Thanks in advance.

If you make red sauce yourself, you can add a few grounds of coffee to the pot while it is cooking (I literally mean a few granules). That will tame the acidity and should help with your heartburn. Also, you won’t taste the coffee flavor in the sauce at all. Another trick some people use is a tablespoon of grape jelly (again, this is to a pot of sauce, not a single serving).

If you’re talking marinara with green peppers, then either trick likely won’t help.

I get heartburn from certain things, red sauce usually isn’t one of them, but green peppers set me off pretty quickly.

YMMV
