Trevor Noah's far-left showcase is crumbling without Trump (and with Biden)..
Late night comedians appear lost of late.
Their writing staffs don’t have President Donald Trump to kick around anymore, although they keep trying to bring him back into the conversation.
Even worse? They’re reticent to mock the current Commander in Chief, his low-rated Vice President or any of Biden’s foot soldiers.
What’s a comedy showcase to do?
For one, watch Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” steal the late night crown from former king Stephen Colbert. Host Greg Gutfeld is the one host willing to mock President Biden without hesitation. And he’s crushing it in the ratings as a result.
Meanwhile, low-rated fare like “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” continue to lag behind the competition. Bee’s show routinely comes in near or dead last among major late night entries. That didn’t stop TBS from hailing her performance and giving “Full Frontal” a valuable extension deal.
Now, Trevor Noah is joining her at the bottom of the pile. Or, in recent days, below the bottom.
The “Daily Show” host is as reliably progressive as his peers, although he occasionally will smite his own side (at least far more than Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel). Still, his show’s most recent ratings snapshot isn’t bad.
It’s abysmal.
What’s lower than the gutter?
They don’t have President Donald Trump to kick around anymore and they worship the groping pooper, so they miss the opportunity for great jokes.
Who wants to listen to Trevor Noah’s victimhood schtick night after night?
Jon Stewart was at least funny. Trevor Noah might be the least funniest “comedian” I’ve ever witnessed. Truly, the antidote to laughter.
Jay Leno would make jokes at Biden’s expense. I suspect that Jay Leno lean left but when there’s a joke to be made, he’ll do it. He used to make jokes about Bill Clinton all the time.

I guess political satire doesn’t work when the show is wedded to the political party in power.

I would only consider watching the show if he were going to be beaten with steel pipes.

Did you know the democrats have added funding to the Bulid Back Better bill to bail out news media or so-called “journalists” who are losing money? This will also apply to these late night shows— listed as news by the democrats—and CNN, among others.

I think political correctness and wokeness have killed comedy. You are simply not allowed to make fun of anything or anyone, unless they are a conservative -- then the gloves are off.
You just never know when a joke will offend someone who then makes a stink and your career is over. Also, what passes for "comedy" nowadays is not funny. I miss funny comedians. I miss laughing, hard, at some joke.
They aren’t comedians, and they aren’t funny. They are going for applause lines, not laughs, from a very narrow audience.
