The uproar over Dave Chappelle’s latest Netflix special continues. The woke mob continues to demand that the streaming service “deplatform” the 48-year-old comic due to language they deem to be dangerous. Now usually when we’re into another week of protesting and activism, we see entertainment companies cave to the pitchfork-wielding wokesters. But, not this time. Instead, Netflix’s CEO Ted Sarandos is standing his ground amid calls to cancel Dave Chappelle.

no, they stood for the money...
Maybe sandoros, or whatever, needs a good(?) talking to from obxxx.
Exactly right, Chappelle brings in the big bucks.
He’s throwing us a bone and only because the guy in question is a vocal black guy who is very popular in the mainstream. They will not hesitate to fly their woke flag at the next turn.
He will. Give it time.
I dunno. I think being ¨wokë¨ Is costing these companies a lot of money, and maybe this will embolden some of the others to stand up to it.
Money call for sure but it still makes me smile.
THIS!
Chapelle and Adam Sandler are their cash cows.
The CEO is smart enough to realize that if he caves on this, the LGBTwhatever mafia will have effective control over all the rest of Netflix’s content, and he’ll lose massive subscribers.
I thought it was pretty tame.
I don’t care “why”, only that they are.
I don’t follow comedians, but anyone who stands up publicly against these mentally ill PERVERTS is okay in my book.
Netflix as well.
Let’s go tranny!
LGBTQ XYZ are ALL an abomination to the Lord.
The most VILE word in the English language is abomination.
Greek: βδέλυγμα, vdélygma = abomination
Hebrew: shiqquts שיקוץ and sheqets שקץ = abomination
Latin: abominatio = abomination
Aramaic: Fwbysm, hybywsdw, 0bywsdw, 0byws, 0bywsw = abomination.
Yet, the fags try to spin this as if abomination doesn’t mean “abomination”.
And water isn’t wet and bears piss in the pond.
let the 1000 employees go. I bet it won’t even be blip on their efficiency. it might even help Netflix be more popular.
Not with me though, I don’t watch any of their stuff. (Although my wife is hooked on NCIS)
My son has Netflix and I watched a show about an autistic young man called Atypical. It is ok.
“...The CEO is smart enough to realize that if he caves on this, the LGBTwhatever mafia will have effective control over all the rest of Netflix’s content, and he’ll lose massive subscribers...”
Agree, but I think there may be a little more here. I did watch the special (probably as many other did). The presentation Chappelle gave was pointing out Team Alphabet’s behavior when controversy erupts , i.e. ironically pointing out what they are doing right now.
[short version: As we say often on this forum, it appears he’s “over the target”]
You see, there are issues prevalent among certain ranks of the alphabet community that are... let’s just call it the ‘elephant in the room’ that we really shouldn’t bring up. Ya know, like talking about black-on-black crime in the black community may upset folks in that community. Not because it’s happening, but because people are talking about it.
You get the drift...
This came out in Chapelle’s latest, that I’m sure rubbed some folks the wrong way. But anyone who knows DC’s history should know he doesn’t play by those rules. He, like the Don Rickles, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce’s etc. spares no one when it comes to social commentary. Fact is, the thing that probably rubbed these folks the wrong way is something that really needed to be, well... rubbed. And a bunch of Netflix employees staging a hissy fit doesn’t address the problem. It’s simply an attempt to silence anyone who brings it up.
And by doing so, the so-called ‘victims’ are playing the victim by victimizing other victims.
And what probably pissed the alphabets off the most: It was damn funny.
Message to team alphabet: If you can’t laugh at yourselves, then David Chappelle isn’t your problem. Think about it.
Just my $0.02
jimjohn - OUT.
Can you imagine if Eddie Murphy “Raw” came out today? Or anything by Redd Foxx, Richard Pryor, Sam Kinison, etc. Geez we’ve got such a thin skin as a people these days.
Which is worse? Cancel Culture? or Pedos?
I have neither the time nor the desire.
If I really want to watch something we have over 300 DVDs of good movies we got before Disney bought them all. We even kept all of the old VHS tapes from pre-history. The 3rd Man is imminently watchable many times.
Redd Foxx would have chewed these people up and spit them over the fence. He took no prisoners. Even his own grandma.
