Social media presence littered with anti-Trump posts, support for BLM.
The husband and wife team facing espionage charges after they allegedly tried to sell stolen nuclear secrets to a foreign power have been revealed to be anti-Trump leftists.
Imagine my shock.
Diana Toebbe and Jonathan Toebbe were charged with violations of the Atomic Energy Act by federal prosecutors after they tried to sell nuclear-powered submarine secrets to someone who they thought was a representative of the unnamed foreign country.
In fact, the couple had been talking to an undercover FBI agent all along.
“The complaint charges a plot to transmit information relating to the design of our nuclear submarines to a foreign nation,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement.
“The work of the FBI, Department of Justice prosecutors, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the Department of Energy was critical in thwarting the plot charged in the complaint and taking this first step in bringing the perpetrators to justice.”
Jonathan Toebbe contacted the foreign government in April 2020 in an attempt to set up an arrangement to funnel restricted information, but that government immediately reported him to the FBI.
“The Toebbes received a $10,000 payment in cryptocurrency from the undercover agent as part of the investigation and made multiple “dead drops” to hand over the top-secret documents related to nuclear-powered warships,” reports Heavy, citing the criminal complaint.
It seems almost certain that part of the couple’s motivation, aside from money, was their far-left, Trump-hating politics.
Diana Toebbe’s Facebook and Twitter pages clearly indicate that she suffered from Trump Derangement Syndrome, retweeting numerous anti-Trump screeds.

If convicted, the couple face a maximum sentence of life in prison or death.
MICE, the old model - people do this for Money, Ideology, Compromise, or Ego. They're not mutually exclusive, either.
We don't shoot them in peacetime but I'd be fine with a 30-year federal sentence. My concern is that since they hate their country as much as their President and his staff do, they might just walk.
Probably won’t even be held in jail for as long as the Jan 6 “insurrectionists”.
They have to keep the punishments light for fear that people would ask about punishment for Hillary Clinton’s crimes.
By doing this, they ensure we will have more traitors.
It’s the natural outcome.
Look like typical Washington DC dorks and total losers. Sorry, I can’t help myself—they are everywhere.
In a sane world, supporting BLM should automatically cost you your security clearance. Of course in a sane world, I can’t see how any Democrat should have a clearance.
They should be drawn and quartered.
I’m curious also which country. Its a non-English speaking country, so the anglos are out. The Chinese wouldn’t have turned them over. The Russians, probably not. A leftist wouldn’t be trying to help Israel’s nuclear program.
So, maybe France. France says it wasn’t them, but I think maybe it was.
That picture. Whew! Thank God that physiognomy doesn’t real.
Japan? India? Brazil?......................
No entrapment. A foreign nation contacted the FBI after the couple sent them top secret material
Maybe India?
They rent nukes from the Russians.
I was thinking Taiwan, South Korea, or even Japan, since they would be wise to consider nuclear submarine fleet.
Yep. Walk-in spies. Not an entrapment.
This couple are top candidates for high positions in the biden administration.
Death, hang them together.
The FBI is involved so not a single word of this story can be believed. The FBI may well have fabricated the entire story to make it look like the agency is still protecting America.
Well of course they are. Just look at the them. They’ve got LibTurd written all over them.
Even though these two are scum: No FBI = No Crime.
Surprise! It’s not the Clintons.
Yep same thing I was thinking.
Protectors of the USA under Biden after all the crap they pulled with Trump.
Death penalty x 2.
