On my employer's intranet site it published a list of LGBT observances for October and November. The festivities started with National Coming Out Day celebrated on October 11. Not only does the LGBT community have all of June to preen but they have taken up several days during the Fall.

I do miss my youth when the LGBers only bothered me once a year. That was Jeans Day when the campus LGB group would announce on some random day if you wear jeans you are gay. I do not wear jeans so I just got a good chuckle.

the healthcare company i work for celebrated the day and posted it on facebook. i’m still trying to figure out why the company is delving into the realm sexual preferences of employees and what it has to do with providing health care.
