So, is China going to attack?
Short answer: Only Xi knows. Absent that information, here are a few thoughts.

These pressures may lead Xi to take action over Taiwan before Beijing’s economic and military advantages dwindle – the so-called “Davidson Window.”
Then there is the “Pax Olympics” school that sees concern over global image forestalling Chinese aggression till after the 2022 Winter Olympics. There are ready indicators this is at play. The communists in Beijing have attempted to discredit critical foreign press as it seeks to validate its authoritarian governance to the world through the stage of the winter Olympics. A similar timeline revolves around next fall’s communist party congress. It’s easy to imagine that Xi will be reluctant to do anything rash before that is complete.

I am curious if anyone has more news about the recent collision of one of our submarines with some undisclosed object. One question I have is how did China find out about this accident? Did we tell them ? And what was the reason for us to tell them about this accident, did we have to? And if we did not tell them, the only way they could have known about it was that it involved an object belonging to them, possible one of their subs. Not to mention that this collision must have taken place at fairly high speed, hence some of the injuries which were caused due to the sudden stop, probably unsecured things were thrown around, including some of the crew.
Fighting for Taiwanese freedom is pointless until we defeat the communist junta in DC.

China needs to seize and loot Taiwan and they will move before Trump gets back in power—that come come as early as 2022 when The House and Senate go GOP. They must move before Biden leaves office. Seeing his poll numbers he will never be re-elected. There will be no Obama forth term. When China attacks they must move swiftly—hours and days rather than weeks or months. Biden will appear tough with lots of talk—seize wartime powers to emplace his social control Send ships to sail in circles. BUT risk no confrontations. He will seek UN peace missions only. His job will be to control Japan. Generals will talk big, Joe will try to rally the nation with talks while China brutally takes the island and lots of Chinese die. No nukes will fly—news of the murders suppressed . Only Americans to die will be peacemarchers who will be crushed with machine guns. It will cause the Olympics to be cancelled Only—Jimmy Carter Part two. In weeks it will all be over. Next the reunifications of Korea.
Why not attack the United States? There is a historic window of opportunity with the traitors and foreign agents being in charge. The traitors will immediately surrender to China after China launches a nuclear attack. The surrender will be justified by preventing further casualties. You know, for the children.

Invading Taiwan is not possible right now. And there is no internal or external benefit for doing so. Xi has enough internal problems, and those are going to get worse. Cutting his country off from the rest of the world is probably not a good plan.
The ONLY scenario with a winner here is Biden—becoming the President who talked Xi down from the brink.

The Chinese have sonar and audio tech as well. My guess is if they did t hit something Chinese, the PLAN heard it. They knew something happened.

That’s what I thought. A heavy steel tube about forty foot in diameter and quite lengthy probably travelling any where in excess of 25 knots would leave quite a lasting impression (dent). No pun intended

The chinese will send a sampan navy with 10million “internal migration” civilians armed with CNN uplinks, cameras, and bullhorns. When they get mowed down by our side, the resulting negative PR will be amplified by the chinese knocking out 2 of our aircraft carriers in the blockade with their hypersonic ICBM thermally guided antiship missiles.
America will luze stomach for the fight over what it already calls an internal province of China. Taiwan has never declared independence. About a third of civilians in Taiwan are ethnic Chinese and maybe only half of them have loyalties and fifth column tendencies towards communist China.
They have hundreds of thousands of cargo ships they can fill with civilians armed with cameras, CNN uplinks, and bullhorns. The resultant slaughter will be live on CNN and the PR backlash will be enough to let China walk right back into their own internal (never did declare independence) province.
If we blockade them, they’ll lob thermal-capable antiship ICBM missiles at our aircraft carriers and CNN will record them sinking to the bottom of the sea with the resultant nuclear plume. America will luze stomach for the fight after luzing a couple $Trillion in carriers and tens of thousands of men in one afternoon, all seen on CNN, with our recourse being... to slaughter civilians.
China has all the cards, they just have to lay them down on the table at this point.
And when it’s all over but the shouting, the RINOs and GOPes and democraps will be handwringing, hoping for a quick way to order chinese chips & electronics from Amazon. The chinese want the continued business of globalists so it’ll all be “can’t we just get along” and “water under the bridge” as soon as China is in charge and chips are shipping.
I can answer that question.
