This isn’t really a surprise at this point, but here we have it from the big man’s mouth.
“A vote on the reconciliation bill?” Schumer asked. “No, I don’t think we could even procedurally get that done.”
Remember, the only reason this matters is that moderates in the House made Pelosi promise to bring the bipartisan bill to the floor on that date. Progressives warn that they will kill that bill if the Senate hasn’t passed reconciliation by then. So what have moderates won? A public spectacle where their bill probably won’t pass and their party will likely look fractured. Kudos.
Monday. Be there. Aloha!
Thank the Lord and pass the ammunition.
Schumer is a snake. I hope this is true.
Sounds good to me.
What I don’t get is that if the Reconciliation Bill isn’t going to be ready by Monday then it probably won’t be ready by that Thursday and since that is the September 30 deadline end of fiscal year date, that means that the time to have passed it will EXPIRE at midnight that day.
And this would mean that (p)resident SloJo would fail once again?
This failure to add to his numerous other failures. Which (at this time) would you consider to be his largest failure?
Which (at this time) would you consider to be his largest failure?......His murder of 13 troops, his arming of the ragheads and his generally stupidity.
The parlimentarian has to be “dealt with” so they can get a new parlimentarian to allow amnesty.
And all the while,,these two bills have had YouTube abuzz with changes to the social security program, ssi, sdi, va, and railrosd retirement progtams.
So now, the senator from NYC slammed the door in all of our faces.
This is a tactic. People let their guard down, relax, then boom, a vote out of nowhere.
Yes. The ‘rats are sneaky and this sounds too good to be true.
Plotting...24/7.
