According to the sheriff's office, the man's wife told deputies that she was inside her home when she heard commotion.
When she stepped outside, she saw a large alligator attacking her husband, officials said.
The woman ran to help her husband. Once the attack was over, she pulled him out of the water and ran inside to get first aid supplies.
When she realized the severity of his injuries, she got into her boat and went to higher ground, approximately a mile away.
The sheriff's office said that when she returned home, her husband was no longer lying on the steps.

Yup.
she lost the hammer and axe in the flood....
“It was around 82 degrees at the time of the attack in Slidell on Monday. The low that morning was around 72, then it got warmer towards the early afternoon.”
Low: 77
3 AM: 80
Noon: 85
So the temperatures were very close to the thresholds.
Loss of appetite is 80 degrees (actual was 82 degrees).
Refusal to eat is at 72 degrees (actual was 73 degrees).
That’s close enough to call for an investigation in my book.
Yeah, color me skeptical.
Down in Louisiana, where the alligators grow so mean
Lived a girl, that I swear to the world
Made the alligators look tame
Polk salad Annie, gators got your granny
Everybody said it was a shame
Because her momma was a workin’ on the chain gang
A mean vicious woman
One of my favorite songs ...
A wretched, spiteful, straight-raaaazor totin’ woman, Lord have Mercy...
Back when music was actually good!
Ode to Ida
Down in the bayou
Where the gator grows large
Lived a French girl, Linda Lou
She was big as a barge
One night in Pontchartrain she swam
Without clothes or giving a damn
Linda Lou was a liberal
Democrat you see
She loved wildlife and nature but not you and me
The gators were hungry and saw Linda Lou
Ida made them that way global warming too
She didn’t see it coming
She was gone in a flash
The gator rolled and that was her ass.
The moral of this story is this
Gators in LA bayou get pissed

The movie I was referencing is “Crawl”, it somehow made 90 million dollars in the theaters, and was widely acclaimed, even though essentially it’s just a “everybody who tries to help our protagonist gets killed, but in the end she is a hero because she saves the one person she really cared about”.
I’ve seen that one as well.
I didn’t explain well. I was giving you another one to check out.

Thanks. Sad story but at least they found some remains for burial.
The lady will have very sad memories for the rest of her life.
