Several of the U.S. service members who were killed in an Islamic State-perpetrated terror attack in Afghanistan were identified Friday as tributes poured in honoring their sacrifice.
Marine David Lee Espinoza, a 20-year-old from Laredo, Texas, was reportedly among the 13 servicemen who were killed by an ISIS-K suicide bomber outside the international airport in Kabul, which left another 18 service members injured and more than 100 others dead.
The Laredo Police Department, which lowered the flags outside its headquarters in honor of Espinoza, thanked the fallen Marine for his service.
“Our thoughts and prayers will remain with the family of United States Fallen Marine, David L. Espinoza, as well as to his friends and fellow Marines,” the police department wrote on Facebook Friday. “Semper Fi. Thank you for your service.”
Maxton Soviak, a Navy hospital corpsman in his early 20s, was also killed in Thursday’s blast while stationed outside Hamid Karzai International Airport, helping to oversee the evacuation of thousands of Americans and Afghan allies, family said.
The father of Kareem Nikoui, another young Marine who reportedly died in the blast, said his son “loved what he was doing” and that he “always wanted to be a Marine.”
“He really loved that [Marine Corps] family. He was devoted. He was going to make a career out of this, and he wanted to go,” Steve Nikoui told the Daily Beast. “No hesitation for him to be called to duty.”
“I haven’t gone to bed all night,” Nikoui said. “I’m still in shock. I haven’t been able to grasp everything that’s going on.”
Nikoui said he plans to travel to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, which welcomes fallen service members, to pick up his son’s remains.
Marine Rylee McCollum of Bondurant, Wyoming, was also among those killed Thursday, and his wife is expecting a baby in three weeks, his sister said.
Another heartbreaking moment happened today as the fallen marines returned home.

It is one moment that really upset the American public and that is the fact that not a single person from the Biden administration came to wait for the fallen Marines!
Our “president” and his VP decided just to laugh while reporters asked them questions about Afghanistan:
Videos below:
It was a different situation with Trump’s administration: Image below:
What is even more upsetting is the fact that not one mainstream media called them out for their un-American behavior!
Speaking of which - where’s the executive order to lower all flags to half staff?!
Dems didn’t have a problem ordering it for social justice causes with civilians.
Human life means nothing to the hard core Democrats as long as theirs’ is safe and secure
Our REAL President always went to receive them home and meet the families...as I recall.
Biden is a hollow bastard.
Good.
Would you want to disgrace a fallen Marine with the presence of a member of the Biden Regime?
No.
Can’t have the image of Biden or Kamala standing over the flag draped coffins..
I am so tired of Captain Chaos. He has got to go.
the sooner 90% of the bastards in Washingtno DC assume room temperature, the happier we all will be!
“I’m still in shock. I haven’t been able to grasp everything that’s going on.”
Welcome to the party, Pal! :(
So you just want to pick your poison because it just stays the same (Bottom of the barrel) if Biden steps down if you are picking a Constitutional replacement.
SHADES OF EXTORTION 17 WHERE OBAMA/BIDEN/BRENNAN MURDERED 20 U.S. NAVY SEALS PLACED ABOARD ONE HELICOPTER.
Glad Biden isn’t around as some of the families of the fallen may have young girls there.
One comment said that it was an old video.
Any confirmation?
Are you sure the video is actually of David Lee Espinoza?
It would be unusual to send the body directly home. Normally the bodies go to Dover AFB first to get prepared then it goes to the family of record. Definitely this is not Dover because the body is coming off a commercial airliner.
I don’t think that’s Dover. It’s probably Germany.

It’s a damn disgrace!
