When I was a kid I really wanted one of these, but all I got was a gay erector set
but my parents refused to get me one.
Today I am still traumatized so I am getting my grandkids the really cool stuff, a little expensive, but they are totally worth it
$345.65 – $1,339.20 excl. VAT
Recombinant Crimean Congo Hemorraghic Fever Virus Nucloprotein incorporating an N-terminal His-tag expressed in mammalian HEK293 cells. Greater than 95% purity.
The perfect resource for the infectious disease hobbyists!
Sorry this formatted wrongly, my vision has been kinda blurry and I think I need to go ask my priest and ask about stigmata
I had a boss that was in the Congo/Zaire during one of the outbreaks and caught it. He survived the infection which had close to a 40% mortality rate. Hemorrhagic Fever is no joke.
I used to have full chemical set. (I forget the brand)
It got taken away. I thought rotten egg/skunk odor would be fun to make. Right around the time my mom had the neighbor ladies over for coffee.
I so wanted that. I did manage to inherit a Gilbert Chemistry Set when I was 8 years old, but the incendiary possibilities were limited. Discovering those limits was a valuable learning experience.
What could be more fun than using fire to make your own test tubes and retorts!
I think it was also called Kitty gas. As I recall I had a Gilbert Basic Chemistry set.
As a kid, I never got an Erector set from the Gilbert Toy company. A few years ago I bought two sets for my son-well actually for myself.
Aw, man, I would have done anything to get one of those atomic labs when I was a kid. I got erector sets and one of those chem labs that had a Bunsen burner, test tubes, and bottles of all those weird chemicals.
Gilbert was awesome. Never knew they were even more than Erector Set (good God now we’re told it’s “Mercator” and always was….) and the unique S-gauge American Flyer!
I still have my American Flyer train sets. One from 1957.
Great memories!
My father started collecting them but stopped 20 years ago due to my squatting cousin taking over his basement…moved to outdoors Garden gauge.
But the AmFlyers are still in the other part of the basement hidden away.
🙄🙄
My best friend in grade school gave me a small strip of magnesium ( his dad brought some home from his work) and told me it would burn if I lit it. Well, it took a few matches to get it hot enough, but when it lit , it lit up the whole basement brighter than daytime. My dad on the other side of the basement-“ WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING OVER THERE?
Do not forget Marx toys
The title immediately made me think about Corona beer. I’ve never had it, but I read an article today that said that Corona is the most popular beer in the world.
On what was this determination made? By the numbers of Google searches for different brands of beer.
Me, I’ll have mine LaBatts Blue.
🤣
Perhaps they need an Arduino kit as well.
