Add Milwaukee to that list, Thursday’s edition of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel did not include a single front page story about the ongoing disaster in Afghanistan…even though thousands of Afghan refugees will be shipped to Fort McCoy in western Wisconsin.

I’ve said for years that Europe would see widespread ethnic cleansing. If they do it soon, they will get rid of Muslims. If they delay too long, the Muslims will get rid of the Europeans.

Here in the US, I think we will see a French Revolution-style Reign of Terror, with the equivalent of guillotines set up in thousands of locations and rivers of blood as people take their revenge on the cause of all the problems.

For now, I’m not sure who is going to be working the guillotines — Us or Them? But I am not optimistic.

I watched a news broadcast from my local CBS affiliate yesterday. The national news part was all about Covid. Virus news from everywhere. No mention of Afghanistan at all. It was as if the place doesn’t even exist.

Some stories, though, just seem to have a life of their own, and not everybody, particularly the Taliban, will fall into lockstep. We’ll be reduced to depending on foreign media to tell us what’s going on but by now we’re used to it.
