A good friend of mine, Curtis, recently sent me a book–ANTICHRIST: How to Identify the Coming Imposter, by Pastor Charles Crismier. It’s an interesting and educational read so far, written by someone who has studied this material in depth over many decades.
Its target audience is Christians, but so far I’ve seen enough fascinating material in the book to recommend it to anybody who is interested in “end times” prophesy, the “Antichrist,” and the history of past tyrannical leaders and systems (Note: I don’t make any money from the book link).
History repeats itself, as we know, and…
Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
Sign (ironically) posted at Jim Jones’ Jonestown (paraphrasing George Santayana) We are indeed living in a very dark time, with tyranny raising its ugly head once again. And yet, I also believe we are living in a time where truth is emerging as perhaps never before.
…But I’m not sure our time is so unique. Charles Dickens famously said in A Tale of Two Cities, written about a supposedly enlightened time which became an absolutely horrific time–The French Revolution: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness…
Pastor Crismier writes of the horrors of the French Revolution, among other dark periods of history in his book. Are they precursors to the “end times”?
He was interviewed about the book by Jesse Peterson, a Los Angeles-based pastor who is well known on YouTube (full disclosure: I was a close friend and associate of Jesse’s for over two decades).
During the interview, Jesse did not go into depth regarding the book, which is unfortunate considering how important understanding the material is to every person on earth, and particularly to those who call themselves “Christians.”
Jesse chose to take another route, asking, among other things, if the end times would even be necessary if we stood up in love and truth.
It’s an important question.
I believe the answer to that question is “No.” Why would God want his people to go through the “hell on earth” scenario we see described in the book of Daniel, Revelations, and elsewhere if we were not susceptible to follow a counterfeit Christ? (The “Antichrist”)?
In fact, if we were of truth, it would be impossible for us to follow a man of lies.
So the way human beings are now–generally lovers of lies (not truth)–we are ripe for accepting a counterfeit Christ, and look to be (to myself, Pastor Crismier, and others) on our way to fulfilling the prophetic books of old.
Yes, as Jesse says, IF we were to stand up in love and truth, perhaps the horrific end times scenario would not need to play out. IF we were a people of love–and not hate–our future troubles could be minimized.
But those are big “IFS”!
Because we are NOT those people now, and although there are certainly some bright spots in our society, there is little evidence that we are becoming people of truth–at least in large numbers.
So it does appear to myself and others that the world is headed toward a rude–and horrific–awakening.
In the interview, Jesse tweaks Pastor Crismier, questioning his belief in “righteous anger” among other things. The pastor became visibly upset by the implication that he himself may not be a good Christian.
While I understand his frustration over being questioned in this manner, and the fact that Jesse did not go into much depth regarding the pastor’s highly-important book, which was the supposed reason for the interview to begin with, I also understand that as Christians, we must be of LOVE, and having “righteous” anger is really just a form of human anger, which the Bible explicitly condemns:
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
James 1:19-20 ESV I also understand that provoking people to anger, which many people do to undercut a person’s beliefs and standing; thereby placing themselves in a morally-superior position (something I believe Jesse has elevated to an art form), is definitely wrong.
Nevertheless, if somebody can “get your goat,” then you have a goat in there that needs to go!
I have just scratched the surface of Pastor Crismier’s book, and may indeed have followup commentary regarding it. I may even request an interview with him in the future when my podcast starts up again, to bring forth more understanding of this critical subject to all humanity.
But for now, the takeaway for me is, since it appears that an “end times” scenario may indeed be in the process of playing out before our eyes; it would be wise for all people–particularly those who call themselves “Christian,” to prepare spiritually, mentally, and physically for exceedingly challenging times…
..times for which it has been written:
The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.
Revelations 13:15-17 If you don’t think the powers that be can control who can buy or sell, you haven’t been paying attention to those pressing for and achieving restrictions regarding COVID. For instance, New York City recently required proof of vaccination for COVID-19 in order to participate in indoor activities, such as going to restaurants, gyms, or theaters.
Other cities are following suit.
And it was just reported today that the Pentagon will require COVID vaccinations for ALL troops by September 15!
Consider in this computerized, interconnected, privacy-removed digital age how easy it is to shut people’s lives down with the flip of a switch. It’s already happening.
Preparing for such times has much to do with becoming spiritually, mentally, and physically independent. Old School’s focus on natural health, success, and freedom is here to help foster this independence, and hopes to be a treasured resource for all people of goodwill moving forward.
For if the “end times” do have to come, let us be forewarned and forearmed, as Pastor Crismier states in his book; and let us make the best of those times.

Einstein says yes...................
If Jesus shows up wearing a mask I quit.
Soon hopefully. A year ago or 9 years ago would be a good start. Oh wait

>Yes
- God said it.
- I believe it.
- That settles it.
“If Jesus shows up wearing a mask I quit.”
Okay, that’s hilarious. Best thing I have read all day.
“Jesse chose to take another route, asking, among other things, if the end times would even be necessary if we stood up in love and truth.”
Sorry Jesse, I missed finding that in the Bible. I do remember reading about the false prophet in Revelation.
This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
2 Peter 3:1-7
It’s God’s will, as is the death of each of us, so yes.
for the end times ping list
The problem is the elite satanists believe in the end times too.
And they want to bring them about, because in their hubris they think THEY can win...
Sorry - it is settled whether you believe it or not......
God has perfect knowledge, which includes perfect knowledge of the future. It is like reading true “history” BEFORE it happens. Might be delayed for the sake of certain people because of their faith (thing Josiah), but it is a certainty.
thing=think
It’s in the BOOK, that’s the way it will be.
The combination of what technology enables and what temptation & power do to humans is all that is needed - and it is inevitable.
Best verse by verse exposition of the “Revelation” of Jesus Christ.
Pretty much sums it up for me.
No more total destruction by flood. . .but . . .there will be total destruction of this earth by fire. Most out there don’t get it and I am finding out they don’t even care. God lays it all out in his Instruction Manual.
