Am reaching out to my fellow Freepers. Do any of you know anyone that currently has Influenza? It is August in the central US, not Flue or cold season, never has been. Yet according to the news, everyone is getting covid... Right?

Are you asking about flu or covid? You mention both.
Don’t know of anyone who is sick in this neck of the woods.

I don’t personally know anyone aside from myself who’s had it. For myself it was just a bad flu. Three days down and then I was fine.
I’ve heard of covid diagnosis but haven’t about flu or common cold in several months!
I do not know anybody who is sick.
My GF had it in March. I Never got it
And we survived it without doctors or pharmaecuticals.
I don’t know anybody who has it.
Nope...no one I know is CURRENTLY sick.
I’ve been to two unmasked family picnics in the last month with 12 - 18 people at each event, no one got sick or had previously had the chicom bioweapon. A few had been “vaccinated” with no apparent side effects.
Yep, one guy in rehab after a couple of weeks in ICU. His wife managed to stay out of the clutches of the hospital and recovered at home.
Covid is a form of Influenza. The Flu is a whole different world, at least from my experience. I had the “dreaded Covid”, if you are healthy it is a joke.
Nobody I know personally.
My wife & I might have had Delta a week ago (if one takes the premise of my post seriously https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3979280/posts) after getting the virus in March 2020.
But I know of not a soul who otherwise has or had the virus.
That includes ALL of my coworkers who were exposed to me the day prior to my becoming symptomatic last March.
My sister and BIL and nephew all tested positive, I tested negative. Sister has/had no symptoms, BIL had a fever for a few days, felt crappy for about a week, has recovered.
My nephew is currently in the hospital, has been on a ventilator for nearly two weeks. His condition has been going up and down.
I, my sister and BIL vaccinated, nephew not.
At my work on Friday we were notified of a coworker in the hospital on a ventilator with COVID. I work in IT so we almost all work from home, all over the country. I believe this gentleman is in Colorado.
