Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chief of Staffs, and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, a retired general, held a press conference yesterday. The two managed to demonstrate one of two things. Either they are stupid or they believe the American public is stupid.
Let’s start with Austin. He assured reporters that Milley “doesn’t have a political bone in his body.” But at the same conference, Milley could not deny that he compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. That’s a political view, and an idiotic one.
Austin also stated that he and Milley are committed to having a military that looks like America in terms of diversity from the bottom to the top. That’s a political view, too. Many Americans believe that our institutions, including the military (I would say especially the military) should be committed to promoting its best qualified members regardless of what they look like.
Milley spent much of the press conference trying to tap dance his way around the fact that Afghanistan appears to be falling to the Taliban. On the subject of Trump and the election, Milley said that the military “did not, and will not, and should not ever get involved in domestic politics.” He claimed to have followed this principle.
But telling reporters that Trump, who might well run for president in 2024, resembles Hitler obviously constitutes injecting himself into domestic politics. Milley could not deny having made the comparison.
Milley had already demonstrated his lack of regard for the public’s intelligence (or perhaps his own shortcomings) when he testified before Congress about the military’s teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT).

Milley spent three years trying to figure out which prom dress to wear.
If it’s someone that the democrats appointed, then, they are wholly political. Ain’t no such thing as a democrat or democrat supporter who is not political.
And, democrats are taking the whole ‘defund’ thing to the max, where they are now defunding and delimitarizing the military. Woke does not equal military readiness, and neither does reducing the military, which always happens when democrats are in power.
God help us.
Forget Covid, is there some virus that has been reverting adults back to child-like thinking?
I use to draw cartoons, I have to do that again, draw a day with Donald "Hitler" Trump.
"Hello my Jewish relatives, my Jewish daughter, my Jewish grandkids, my Jewish son in law"
"Yeay! Poppa Hitler Trump! What did you do today?"
"Well today my children, I moved the USA embassy to Jerusalem in a tremendous support of the Jewish state of Israel! I also signed an order against antisemitism in Colleges"
"Oh my that is JUST what Hitler would do! I can see why people compare you to Hitler!"
A socialist is someone who has read Lenin and Marx. An anti-socialist is someone who understands Lenin and Marx.

That General is beyond being an idiot - he's damn dangerous!
Milley is obese and is nowhere near Army weight standards. He is an embarrassment for that reason alone.
Under these morons we’ll have a military of fruits and nuts and any adversary will
walk right over us.
Lloyd Austin is a racist. Let him prove otherwise and General Milley has turned into a first class clown. He needs to change uniforms a put on his clown suit.
I prefer to think they’re both stupid
After watching the ineptness of these two characters, I am even prouder to have served in the same Army with Gen. Roscoe Robinson and Gen. Frederick Weyand.
They are both traitors who hate America.
All three and four button’s in today’s military are political. Guys like LeMay, Patton and Bradley wouldn’t make Brig Gen today.
I dunno. They impress me....
As being the highest level of traitors ever seen in the history of the US Military.
Were they asked how recruitment is going?
