Pipeline Hypocrisy! Evening Nets IGNORE Biden Approving Russia’s Pipeline for 2 Days

The ABC, CBS and NBC evening networks didn’t seem to care that President Joe Biden canceled the Keystone XL while behaving like a Russian crony and approving the country’s controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

CNBC reported July 21 that the United States and Germany “reached an agreement to allow completion of the $11 billion Nord Stream 2 pipeline [in Russia].” The outlet noted that the unease around the pipeline that will pump Russian gas directly into Germany “stems from Moscow’s history of using the energy sector to gain leverage over Russia’s neighbors, namely Ukraine.” When finished, the pipeline will reportedly span 764 miles from Russia to Germany, “making it one of the longest offshore gas pipelines in the world.” In another world, such a move by Biden would have been politically disastrous given that he nuked the Keystone XL Pipeline earlier in the year and canceled thousands of U.S. jobs. Here’s the kicker: ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News all ignored the story during their July 21 and July 22 broadcasts.

Why does Germany even need the pipeline? they have plenty of windmills to produce thier Green Energy and with a Planet on Fire, they sure as hell don’t need Heating Appliances, so what gives?

Full disclosure up front: I know nothing about the oil industry so I can't comment on the veracity of this report. But, since we have some very intelligent people on this board who are familiar with the oil industry, can someone tell me why we would have the ability to approve or disapprove of a pipeline in Germany. I understand how Biden handed a major victory to Russia and OPEC by canceling the Keystone pipeline but what influence do we have over a German pipeline.

I ask in this in all sincerity.

Because Russia has used its energy sector as a leveraging tool against Ukraine, which is a U.S. ally. If Russia were to attempt this again via its new pipeline, it would directly slam against U.S. interests. It’s why we originally put sanctions on completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline before Biden removed them.

Pumping stations, valves and software...all made for large diameter high flow pipelines.

***..he nuked the Keystone XL Pipeline earlier in the year**

And after that time I noticed an uptick in the number of oil tanker railroad cars going south the house on the KCS-Canadian Pacific line, as CP and KCS are now merged.

So I take it only the US can produce these? I am all in favor doing whatever we can to gum up the works on the pipeline but I need to understand the mechanics

I see this wrong on two levels. 1.) Who really gives an eff if the Democrat Socialist, wanna be Commie Germans, become dependent on Russia for their energy? I am all for selling American energy to Europe, but let's get there legitimately through competition, not through American tax dollars subsidizing European energy. This is Germany's decision. Not ours. Why do they need our approval? 2.) Ignoring American energy and American jobs involved with the Keystone XL pipeline is just blatantly wrong.

There is no energy policy with these commies in the Biden administration other than destroying what works and driving us to the poor house.
