During my weeklong suspension from YouTube I had time for deep self-reflection and came to realize that the Community Guidelines of which I was in violation of are absolutely perfect because they have been set forth by Silicon Valley billionaires who we all know are always infallible. However, during that period I saw something that shocked me to my very core and made me wonder if it represented a rip in the very fabric of the universe.
PING!
Very often on remote interviews with guests, the guest just puts on a button shirt, jacket and maybe a tie right before going on air. They don’t change their pants or shoes because for the most part the camera is cropped/zoomed to just show the top 1/3 of the person on air.
Better hope the cameraman doesn’t have it in for you.
Maybe that happened in this case.
“Shocking”? Really? LOL
I think a real journalist would be dressed head to toe as a professional and would not allow any part of his or her person to be less than authentic, whether it can be seen by the camera or not.
Then try imagining Huntley/Brinkley delivering the news while wearing pink shorts. Yeah, shocking.
I do that too...
for example I am in a zoom meeting right now and I am only wearing a dickie
So was Jeffrey Toobin during his Zoom meeting.
Was he wearing it? Or was he brandishing it?
I confess to doing this from time to time as when I'm working at home, I like to dress down. I keep a sports jacket in my home office to throw on when I'm doing a client-facing meeting but I might very well be wearing shorts and barefeet down below.
Just another example of the weirdness of the times we live in.
Jeffrey Toobin was probably wearing a kilt during his Zoom meetings for utilitarian reasons.
The googleverse kicked me out for wrong think. They never did say why. Just “After violating community standards”
But I really think it was a comment I left saying a man in a dress is still a man. The gaystapo doesn’t like that.
It’s like a Ralph Lauren Polo kind of thing. It looks ridiculous on him, but I assume he thinks he looks faaaaabulous.
With the current make up of perverts, degenerates and general scumbags in the Media of today, I see nothing at all “shocking” with pink shorts. I would be “shocked” by seeing and hearing an honest to goodness serious journalist, though.
