Andrew Weissmann, the lead prosecutor for former special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that Fox News host Tucker Carlson was “anti-American” for questioning being monitored by the NSA.
Weissmann said, “If you think about what Tucker Carlson could have done here, he could have followed the same route that “The New York Times” and other respected journalists did when they were incidentally overheard and may have, in fact, not been incidentally had their call records obtained by the Department of Justice. They could have gone to the attorney general, and Tucker Carlson could have joined them to say what I’m concerned about here is not that there was incidental collection when I am calling a foreigner, including if you try to reach out to Vladimir Putin, you can pretty much be sure you’re going to be high risk of being intercepted.”

Tucker Carlson says the NSA spied on him and then leaked to the media

Why is that smarmy little weasel Weismann not in jail for life?
Conservatives must be surveyed, but try to listen to some liberal!
There’s a difference here, Andy. The NYTimes and the other journalists are all cheerleaders for the surveillance state. Tucker is not. Even a dunce like you should see the potential trouble here for Tucker Carlson — especially when this information was illegally leaked.

It’s anti-American to complain if the government breaks the law. Of course. The “right” people are in power now and any criticism of them is “anti American”.
s We all know the Founding Fathers would have created a surveillance state against the people, but they just lacked the technology to do it any the time. /s
This POS is the poster boy for corrupt Federal prosecutors.
Andrew Weismann.
Destroyed evidence for Trump-Russia probe.
Prosecutor Misconduct. Enron. https://thefederalist.com/2019/03/05/explosive-new-documents-reveal-andrew-weissmanns-misconduct-enron-case/
Now says it’s ok for the NSA to read Tucker Carlsons emails, give them to the White House, who released them publically.
Why are people like this not in Kansas or Florence Colorado. Have we no sense of justice in this nation? Is the entire government that corrupt.......oh wait, after Trump exposed it we should be surprised. Just remember, 10% for the big guy and it’s not tax evasion when the Bidens do it.
*anti American* ....wow...wow....
We are no longer to question, that seems to be the underlying rule of everything nowadays.
Once upon a time it was completely American to question everything.
Where has my country gone.
Absolute BS!
If Tucker Carlson was in contact with foreign officials — especially RUSSIANS — and DIDN’T know he’d be under surveillance, then he’s a moron.
I don’t think he’s a moron. I think he knew exactly what he was doing and what would happen … and this was all part of a self-promotion/PR act on his part.
Projection is the most obvious tell of all. Weissmann knows that what they tried to do, conspire for a coup de tat, is the most Anti-American political witch hunt and fraud in our lifetimes, with the possible exception of the stolen election itself.
He's on MSNBC talking his drivel and getting his 2 minutes of notoriety with the dozen viewers that MSNBC attracts. That's worse than a life sentence in jail.
The Mueller Scam investigation lead speaks.
He lies.
Andrew Weissman should be wearing a hat with a Death’s Head emblem on it. He has that mindset.
Spoken like a good CCCP tool.
I thought the post was from Babylon Bee for a moment. Who would have imagined 20 years ago that we would have high federal government officials telling us we have no 4th Amendment rights.
This clown needs to go to prison.
That mean ol' Tucker Carlson, being mean to that poor widdle NSA!
Weissmann is right: It is patently unfair for Mr. Carlson - with the vast resources (literal teams of high-powered lawyers, electronic surveillance equipment, spy satellites, etc.) at his disposal - to attack a poor, defenseless government entity like the NSA!
Instead, he should have simply turned himself in to the Ministry of Love Dept. of Justice and plead for mercy.
