It was an extremely dramatic and amazing encounter when gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones turned the tables on a CNN reporter in Georgia on the subject of that state's election laws. However, just as amazing is the fact that the CNN reporter was holding a FOX mic. Specifically an Atlanta FOX 5 mic. WHY? I checked on the reporter whose name is Devon Sayers and he is indeed a CNN senior field producer based at the CNN headquarters in Atlanta. Okay but that still doesn't answer the question. WHY WAS HE HOLDING A FOX MIC???
Wrong. Disney owns 20th Century Fox television. Murdock still owns Fox News, the Fox broadcast network, and 28 Fox TV stations
Many predator’s use camouflage to fool the quarry. Like Duh.
Fox and CNN are indistinguishable. What’s the issue?
Hey, I don’t care about whose mike it is. But I thank you for showing another vid of Vernon Jones in action! He’s awesome and he’s going to kick Brian UnKempt’s Chinese a$$ in the primary.
To those FReepers who missed it, you really need to see this stupendous take down of Marc Lamont, a strident Critical Race Theory lover. (9 minutes long, and 182,000 views)

This Vernon Jordan has some of that Trump magic — and some of his own smoke and mirror tricks to spook liberals.
Why did we invade Panama? Just Cause
If he identified himself as CNN he's obviously not trying to fool anyone. Why is his mike a big deal?
Is he even “holding” it? That’s not particularly clear from the picture - looks like the mic is sitting on something and his hand is simply next to it.
But assuming he is holding it - it’s also a local channel’s mic, not a “FOX Mic.” Some Fox affiliates contract with CNN instead of Fox News for their national news...and CNN is based in Atlanta.
Lol, I see what you did there.
Okay - the still picture is not a good reference point for this - you have to watch the actual video to see that he is indeed holding the mic.
No idea if it applies here, but sometimes the news organizations will agree to share a single mic whose audio gets split out to the entire press pool rather than have a bunch of mics on the podium. I think they do a round robin or draw straws to decide which org supplies the mic.
That’s probably it - a pool report. He’s literally the only reporter present there - appears the press largely ignored this (no surprise, of course). This CNN reporter is based in their Atlanta headquarters and this is a “Fox 5 Atlanta” mic, not a Fox News mic. The headline they chose was obviously designed to make the reader draw a different inference than this being a local Atlanta TV channel mic.
“Wrong. Disney owns 20th Century Fox television.”
Before you jump at me, you might want to read what I wrote:
“a lot of FOX” I never said anything about any particular part of FOX.
Disney controls from FOX:
X-Men and other movies from Fox’s studios could be added to Disney’s upcoming streaming service. Fox’s film studios, with “Avatar,” X-Men, the Fantastic Four and Deadpool, would pair well with Disney’s studios. This includes reuniting the Marvel franchises X-Men and the Avengers, as some of those characters were already in Fox’s hands when Disney bought Marvel in 2009. Disney also has the Muppets, Pixar and “Star Wars.”
Fox’s TV productions include “The Americans,” ‘’This Is Us,” ‘’Modern Family” and “The Simpsons.”
Disney gets controlling stake in streaming service Hulu. Comcast, Disney and Fox with a 60% stake in them.
Internationally: Disney gets other international properties from Fox, including Star India, a major Mumbai-based media company with dozens of sports and entertainment channels; and stakes in Tata Sky, an Indian satellite TV provider and Endemol Shine Group, a Dutch-based media company.
In the theme parks Disney has already expanded its use of Marvel characters and they are claiming to unite al they can to create another Star Wars like exhibits current at the parks. They are currently working on the Avengers Campus at Disneyland California which was owned by FOX when Disney made the purchase. How hard would it be for someone to get a mike even to try to fool interviewees thinking it was FOX I don’t put it past them. They will do anything for an agenda like doctoring the film of George Zimmerman arriving at the police station after the Travon Martin shooting. They “wiped” the head wound and were caught at it.
An article from CNN stated in a police report, Officer Timothy Smith writes that Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose and back of the head. No blood or bandages in the film. I have some idea where they went. Disney has always been good with animation and film. Walt and Roy have been gone for a long time. It’s not always the happiest place on earth anymore.

‘Only thing I can figure is intentional deception because the reporter knew how hated CNN is. However, doesn’t him using a FOX mic open himself up to a lawsuit by FOX 5 Atlanta?’
I agree with the deception part but if the two interviewees were in a hurry and saw a FOX mike, they might be more receptive to answering question. Since such a large part of FOX is now controlled by Disney/ABC, I’m not sure if it is in the best interest of FOX 5 to sue them. Disney is a monster company and can buy and sell that little station and still make money. And the suit would be drawn out for years costing FOX 5 a huge amount of money. They would probably have to settle for less and take the loss just to get out of the publicity. And Disney is like the democrats. They have plenty of money into the six figures to give away after they hammer FOX 5 into bad publicity fodder.

He was trying to but trick Rudy but Jordan saw right through it.
Thanks for the h/t, PP. This clip seen on War Room this
afternoon, where, IIRC, there was no mention of the WR crew
re the disingenuous mic. Agree, VJ is one heck of a fellow
traveler. That man has a spine. With his running as a candidate, the commie characters in the state have no where
to go as they scatter. A splendid student of MAGA.
because fox news = cnn, abc, nbc, cbs, new york times, washington post, newsweek... “birds of a feather flock together”!
Highly doubtful. Fox 5 Atlanta is just as “woke” as the communist news network.
He could have grabbed the nearest mic. But that shouldn’t concern you.
Instead, you should be pointing out that CNN operates at the direction of ATT — a telecom operation with a monopolized subscriber base.
Correct. Disney and FOX do not share properties.
Nonetheless, awesome that you’re speaking to the details.
Disney, ATT, and Comcast are largely responsible for the BS. This should be the topic... but few GAS.
He is definitely holding that mic. The video plus the closeups make that clear.
But assuming he is holding it - it’s also a local channel’s mic, not a “FOX Mic.” Some Fox affiliates contract with CNN instead of Fox News for their national news...and CNN is based in Atlanta.
I thought of that possibility so I checked at Wikipedia and there is no connection at that station to CNN.
