Robert L. Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television LLC, better known as BET Networks, says it’s time for America to “atone” for its sins of the past by “paying black people of all stripes — the rich ones, the poor ones, and the middle — out of our pocket.”
And by “of all stripes,” America’s first black billionaire includes himself on the list.
America’s first black billionaire says taxpayers need to fund $14 TRILLION in reparations

As reported by Vice on Tuesday, Johnson, the 75-year-old media magnate, who owns several homes, heads an asset management firm and was the first Black person to own a majority stake in an NBA team, in addition to a hefty price tag of $14 trillion, also wants an apology for slavery, Jim Crow, and “hundreds of years of racism.”
“Reparations would require the entire country to … admit that the result of slavery has been 200 years of systemic racism. And for that reason, black folks have been denied $13-15 trillion of wealth and therefore we as a country now must atone by paying black people of all stripes — the rich ones, the poor ones, and the middle — out of our pocket.”
And what must America do to “atone,” as Robinson sees it?
“Reparation [has] two components: The first [is] atonement, and the other [is] monetary,” With no doubt whatsoever, it [is] supposed to come from the government representing the people of the country. [is] reimbursement, or recompense if you will, for the harm.”
As it relates to himself and other wealthy Blacks, why on earth do they need the money? Ah, but it’s not about need, claims Johnson. Moreover, the billionaire argues that rich Blacks are even more deserving because they have a proven track record in putting their money to work.
“If you’re a successful black business, the idea is you’ve had enough. No one ever asks if [a white-owned business] is too rich to benefit from investing in a football stadium or receiving other benefits like preferential tax treatment or liquidity injections from the Federal Reserve.”
Not to nitpick, Mr. Johnson — but of course “they” do. “They” — Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Barack “How Much Is Enough?” Obama, et al. —say exactly that.
Incidentally, Robinson has been pushing “wealth transfer” from White Americans to Black Americans for years, telling Fox News last year, as reported by Daily Mail:
“You want a big idea: White America — what would happen if you said, ‘Please forgive us and accept our apology. And by the way, we think we owe you what was taken from you for over 300 years of slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, and denial of economic opportunity and rights.”
What would happen, Mr. Johnson?
How ’bout you get after that — bigly — and then you tell the rest of us what did happen. Moreover, liberals — including Black liberals — are like children. They can never get “enough.” They are never satisfied until they get “more.” Piece by piece, bite by bite.
To suggest that “just” $14 trillion would “get it done” is, IMHO, naive as hell.

So what’s the end game, Mr. Johnson? What expectations would you have for your $14-trillion atonement check?
“We want to end systemic racism, we want to end police brutality and shootings, and to provide financing to Black small business owners.”
And there it is. He hit every talking point with which we’ve been bombarded — from Black Lives Matter Marxists, Antifa anarchists, the Democrat Party, and the liberal lapdog media — for more than a year.
The irony is, of course, that the actions and rhetoric of the radical left have only served to exacerbate every one of those talking points, including pretend-systemic racism.
Meanwhile, the far-left band continues to play on.
Only if you surrender your US citizenship and go back to Africa.
Johnson finally “came out” as an black racist fool. What a shame, what a waste of a success story in America, in exchange for a place in line as an unadulterated black bigot and jerk.
I would say that Johnson and his anti-white reparationists OWE White and Black Civil War Union soldiers families, esp. of those who died to set the slaves free, Billions, if not Trillions of dollars for their limbs, eyes, blood and bodies.
This would include at least 17 members of my late father-in-law’s family who provided 17 members of a “Pennsylvania Volunteer” company at Gettysburg (there is a monument to the boys and men of DuBois and Sykesville towns who were in this unit).
Payback is a double-edged sword, Mr. Johnson, so you can send my wife/family a check for each of their ancestors who fought for the Union. I’ll find out how many died for your ancestors’ freedom and bill you accordingly.
My family wasn’t even in American until 30 years later but served in the US Army/Air Force etc and in wartime civilian capacities since WW I. We don’t want your stinkin’ reparations. We paid our own way from Verdun, Edgewood Arsenal, USAC (uncle’s back was broken doing aircraft maintenance), Dept. of Defense, Vietnam and Iraq. We all served our country one way or the other, out of patriotism for all Americans.
What’s your excuse for hating America, a country that made you a billionaire whereas if you were in Africa, you might be a successful businessman or a Boko Harem slave.
Thank God for what you’ve got.
When the communists finally do take full power, these knuckle dragging morons will be the first ones wrangled up and shipped to the gulags. They’re too stupid to understand that.
Why don’t you give people the gift of aspirations....
Johnson built his fortune on the backs of a majority hard working white people.
I say we seek our fair share back from him at a time of our choosing.
And living with all the inventions created by White men.
I’ve been thinking Iceland, Poland, or the Czech Republic.
This goober somehow became a billionaire?
And is this stoopid?
STHU, stoopid.
greed comes in all colors.
