Robert L. Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television LLC, better known as BET Networks, says it’s time for America to “atone” for its sins of the past by “paying black people of all stripes — the rich ones, the poor ones, and the middle — out of our pocket.”
And by “of all stripes,” America’s first black billionaire includes himself on the list.
America’s first black billionaire says taxpayers need to fund $14 TRILLION in reparations

As reported by Vice on Tuesday, Johnson, the 75-year-old media magnate, who owns several homes, heads an asset management firm and was the first Black person to own a majority stake in an NBA team, in addition to a hefty price tag of $14 trillion, also wants an apology for slavery, Jim Crow, and “hundreds of years of racism.”
“Reparations would require the entire country to … admit that the result of slavery has been 200 years of systemic racism. And for that reason, black folks have been denied $13-15 trillion of wealth and therefore we as a country now must atone by paying black people of all stripes — the rich ones, the poor ones, and the middle — out of our pocket.”
And what must America do to “atone,” as Robinson sees it?
“Reparation [has] two components: The first [is] atonement, and the other [is] monetary,” With no doubt whatsoever, it [is] supposed to come from the government representing the people of the country. [is] reimbursement, or recompense if you will, for the harm.”
As it relates to himself and other wealthy Blacks, why on earth do they need the money? Ah, but it’s not about need, claims Johnson. Moreover, the billionaire argues that rich Blacks are even more deserving because they have a proven track record in putting their money to work.
“If you’re a successful black business, the idea is you’ve had enough. No one ever asks if [a white-owned business] is too rich to benefit from investing in a football stadium or receiving other benefits like preferential tax treatment or liquidity injections from the Federal Reserve.”
Not to nitpick, Mr. Johnson — but of course “they” do. “They” — Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Barack “How Much Is Enough?” Obama, et al. —say exactly that.
Incidentally, Robinson has been pushing “wealth transfer” from White Americans to Black Americans for years, telling Fox News last year, as reported by Daily Mail:
“You want a big idea: White America — what would happen if you said, ‘Please forgive us and accept our apology. And by the way, we think we owe you what was taken from you for over 300 years of slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, and denial of economic opportunity and rights.”
What would happen, Mr. Johnson?
How ’bout you get after that — bigly — and then you tell the rest of us what did happen. Moreover, liberals — including Black liberals — are like children. They can never get “enough.” They are never satisfied until they get “more.” Piece by piece, bite by bite.
To suggest that “just” $14 trillion would “get it done” is, IMHO, naive as hell.

So what’s the end game, Mr. Johnson? What expectations would you have for your $14-trillion atonement check?
“We want to end systemic racism, we want to end police brutality and shootings, and to provide financing to Black small business owners.”
And there it is. He hit every talking point with which we’ve been bombarded — from Black Lives Matter Marxists, Antifa anarchists, the Democrat Party, and the liberal lapdog media — for more than a year.
The irony is, of course, that the actions and rhetoric of the radical left have only served to exacerbate every one of those talking points, including pretend-systemic racism.
Meanwhile, the far-left band continues to play on.
I wonder if they could accept, as Payment In Advance, the welfare checks, and gov’t housing that some of them have been receiving for 2 generations, since LBJ begin the War against Poverty?
How about a one way ticket to Red China for anyone who thinks “reparations” are a good idea?
Bite me.
My ancestors were emancipated in 1862.
I don’t owe you scammers a penny
Surely he can’t be serious!
He looks like a Clown, standing there making such illogical demands.
I’m in, I have 7% black DNA in my body. So I get 7% of whatever they are going to reparate. I say lets all gather at the trough and suck up like hogs...and live for there IS no tomorrow.
Absolutely not, and they're going to expect the checks to continue after reparations.
America’s bloodiest war was fought for him and every black American. Is he going to repay the families of the fallen that ended slavery?
Payments should be made using Confederate money.
The left is really trying to recreate Yugoslavia
Any reparations you might have been due you cancelled by the grievous harm you have done to this country.
Here’s an idea: get tf out.
Come and get it then. Bring all your free-loading friends.
Pay it in Zimbabwean trillion dollar bills.
It’s from a black country, so it must be good.

Didn’t the government give freed slaves land to farm, among other things, after the Civil War? And where do we stop? Should we pay the Mexicans, Spanish, Italians, British, Afghans, Iraqis, Germans, Vietnamese and the Japanese back?
One thing we could do is de-Federalize native reservations so they can start drilling for oil and gas again. It is their land after all.
Just look at how “impossible” it was for him to get ahead in every sphere of U.S. life and society, though he came from a modest background. /sarc

Bingo .
The strategy.
So if they get free money, will their progeny suddenly become straight A students?
Great idea, it was southern Democrats who held the slaves.
I don’t owe you race-baiters cr@p, Johnson. *You* pay it if it’s so important to you.
You forgot the Irish, and definitely the chinese
