Here is excerpt from Just the News article:
The cost of gasoline has reached a seven-year high, and gas stations are expect to run out of fuel during the July 4 weekend.
The average national price for regular gas is priced at $3.10, the highest it has been since October 2014. The price is up 2% from Memorial Day and 42% from this time last year as COVID-19 pandemic restrictions brought demand to a near halt, according to CNN. snip Experts say the gas shortages expected to occur this weekend have nothing to do with the rising price of gas but are due to a shortage of tank truck drivers who supply gas to filling stations across the country.
More than 40 million Americans are set to travel for the three-day weekend, exacerbating the shortages.

No, we do live in NV. Cross the state line bump a buck.
Wow...great price!
Looks like a wonderful area too - I looked it up ;)
I passed a station on the way home a few minutes ago (Knoxville Tn) and regular was $2.81/gallon. Haven’t heard any outage or shortage reports yet.
Hesperus, CO a few days ago: $3.399 Reg, $5.999 Plus, $7.999 Premium!
Eh and true confession we just had a “scattered showers” downpour which cancelled my outdoor afternoon projects. I really didn’t feel like mowing/weeding anyway, so figured I would check-in :)
Have never used this app (no cellphone) but hear it advised all the time on local talk radio.

Haven’t seen it, but will look it up :)
Thanks!
Dad says a (D) repeat of the Carter years.
I have family in Cali—lots of pain at the pump!
Love Knoxville—went to school at UT.
It is on my retirement hot-list :)
$7.999?? Nooo!!
This was a corner convenience store so the regular gas is probably a loss leader for them.
We hear reports of no gas at some rural stations in Colorado due to lack of truck drivers. I tend to fill up now whenever I drop below half a tank. Aspen area is supposed to be tricky. Some of those poor folks may be forced to fly private rather than drive.
I’d say he’s nailed it, and sadly the Carter years’ similarities to 2021 are not limited to gas prices :(
I drove through Bridgeport last week and got electricity for my notatesla same price as everywhere else.
🏭🚎🔋💡😂
“But if they repeat the lie enough... people will be out hoarding gas like a few months ago....then there will be shortages.”
that’s exactly right ... drumbeat propaganda like this always spurs greedy hoarders, e.g., coin “shortage”, cat litter “shortage”, et. al.,
A leftist city council and mayor are trying to turn us into a copy of some of the Democrat controlled dumpster-fire big cities, but we're not giving in without a fight, lol.
I wish we had your prices. I just paid $4.73 for mid-grade.
And our state gasoline tax is set to go up again on July 1.
Sam’s Club Plano was $2.429 when I tanked up last Friday it’s $2.62 today so 20 cents in a week.
